PSG will target an immediate return to winning ways when they travel to face Monaco in their Ligue 1 showdown on Friday evening.

Luis Enrique’s men needed a 96th-minute equaliser to rescue a point against Rennes, but they appear to be storming toward another domestic title.

Indeed, they hold a commanding 11-point buffer at the top of the table, and while it’s not quite unassailable, they will fancy their chances of completing the job.

March kicks off a busy run of fixtures with four games in the space of 12 days for PSG, including the Round of 16 Champions League second leg against Real Sociedad, but nothing you imagine will faze the French giants.

Monaco, meanwhile, who are third in the table, will look to seal a place at Europe’s top table next term, and they are just two points adrift of second-placed Stade Brest.

However, Monaco’s travails at home have been well documented, with their last win arriving back in December.

But who will prevail at the Stade Louis II Stadium? I have hopped over to the markets and selected a couple of tips for you to mull over ahead of kick-off.

PSG to brush aside Monaco

With the run-in fast approaching, PSG don’t appear to have any immediate threats in their rear mirror.

Of course, a draw at home to Rennes last weekend may not have been ideal, but it was a result that extended an unbeaten stretching 19 games in all competitions.

Moreover, if we are to judge this solely on league form, Les Parisiens have gone 18 games undefeated, which is their longest streak without tasting defeat in France’s top flight.

When the sides previously met at the Parc des Princes back in November, PSG were rampant, racing to a 5-2 win, and back then, only four points separated themselves and Monaco.

Of course, it would be remiss to overlook the fact Monaco have enjoyed the spoils at home to PSG in the past couple of seasons, and they were comfortable wins.

However, PSG have been purring, and I don’t expect them to take their foot off the gas. For my first pick, I’ve gone with PSG to claim a rousing victory and inch closer to the title. Paddy Power is dishing up a price of 5/1 for PSG to win by two goals which is worth exploring further.

Goncalo Ramos to repay manager’s faith

Having been in and out of the first XI over the past few weeks, Goncalo Ramos will be eager to nail down a starting spot.

Ramos, who is on loan from Benfica, proved to be a super sub last weekend, as he came off the bench to score a dramatic equaliser against Rennes, the latest-ever Ligue 1 goal for PSG.

The forward, nevertheless, has had a mini purple patch, netting twice in his past three outings for PSG, and he was also on target in the aforementioned win over Monaco.

While Ramos has been overlooked at times in favour of Bradley Barcola and Ousmane Dembele, I suspect he will vindicate his manager’s faith by producing a two-goal showing should he be recalled to the starting line-up.

To round things off, I like the look of the 17/2 odds advertised by bet365 for Ramos to rattle in a double.
