Nottingham Forest European Odds: Forest 7/2 outsiders for Champions League spot

Nottingham Forest will be playing European football next season, for the first time since the 1995/96 campaign.
Despite being in the top five for the majority of the season, Forest are far from guaranteed a Champions League spot and will need to win on the final day of the season to even stand a chance.
With five sides battling it out for three spots on the final day of the season, Forest are bottom of the odds with online bookmakers, but there are plenty of permutations to consider ahead of the final game.
Free Bets have had a look at how things could work out for Forest.
Nottingham Forest Champions League Odds
Forest currently have the longest odds to qualify for the Champions League in football betting markets.
Prior to the final game of the season, they sit seventh in the table, but just one point off a top five spot that would secure Champions League football.
Thankfully for Nuno Espirito Santo's side, they play Chelsea on the final day - another club in the running for the Champions League - and must win.
Should Forest win, they would end up on 68 points but goal difference means Manchester City are virtually out of touching distance.
That leaves Newcastle and Aston Villa to reel in and they play Everton and Manchester United respectively - and Villa will be very confident of beating a Red Devils side who play the Europa League Final just days before.
It's not a totally impossible job....but it looks unlikely.

Nottingham Forest Europa League Odds
If results go the way we expect - that's Newcastle beating Everton, Villa beating Manchester United and Manchester City beating Fulham - that's the top five sorted.
That leaves Nottingham Forest v Chelsea as a decider for the Europa League place (sixth in the table).
Chelsea go into the weekend one point ahead of Forest, so it's win or bust for Nuno and his players.
They will have home advantage, but while that's been something for them to fall back on this season they are currently on a three-game winless run at the City Ground.
Chelsea though are 11th in the away from home table, so Forest really should fancy their chances and the odds look a bit too heavily stacked in Chelsea's favour...

Nottingham Forest Europa Conference League Odds
To put it simply, if the table stays the same, Nottingham Forest will qualify for the Europa Conference League.
They basically need to win to climb up the table but there could be a freak set of results that sees them jump up a couple of places.
A Europa Conference League spot may sting for a little bit just because Forest were in the top four for so long, but when it gets to playing in Europe next season, the fans will be delighted.
It is an amazing achievement given some people - yours truly included - thought they could be in trouble at the start of the season, so a seventh-placed finish would be something to celebrate.
