History, Licensing & Key Features

Smooth Spins Casino is one of the newest iGaming platforms and is the latest collaboration between BVGroup and Global Media Group Services Limited. Opening in April 2025, the online casino brings a fresh and player-centric option building on BVGroup’s extensive experience and Global’s widespread media presence.

Just name recognition alone will be able to carry Smooth Spins to notoriety despite its launch flying under the radar. It is under the operation of BV Gaming Limited, the company behind BetVictor and sister sites like TalkSportBET and JackpotCity Casino. Global Media Group Services Limited is one of the UK’s leading commercial radio networks, owning Heart Radio, Classic FM, and Capital Radio.

In recent years, BV Gaming Limited has been expanding its stable with acquisitions, including Heart Bingo. However, Smooth Spins Casino is unique as it is an original site from the collaboration, making it the first original launch since the BetVictor platform. So, I was approaching my Smooth Spins review with a lot of anticipation.

Branding and background already suggest a prominent level of reputability, but I still went through the usual checks. It was no surprise to see that Smooth Spins has a UK Gambling Commission (UKGC) license. This compliance ensures the casino meets regulatory standards in the UK for fair play, responsible gambling, and player protection.

The casino also has licensing under the BV Gaming banner from the Gibraltar Gambling Commissioner and the Revenue Commissioner in Ireland.

User Experience – My Personal View

Smooth Spins has been built from the ground up as a cross-platform and cross-device online casino. It blends vibrant colours with simple navigation. I really like the use of space on the desktop site, with everything looking big and accessible. There is a simple navigation bar at the top of the page that allows quick, single-click access to Slots, Live Casino, Bingo, and Offers.

Alternatively, an expanding hamburger menu in the top left allows more granular access with deeper access to game categories. I found the performance to be fast, with zippy navigation and page loading. In the game lobby, thumbnails are large, and the use of space is impressive while still offering good categorisation. One downside is the lack of ability to filter or search by individual software provider.

Switching to my mobile device, the website UX transitions well to the screens of smartphones and tablets with excellent optimisation to maintain smooth performance. Navigation is easy thanks to swipe and touch-friendly controls. Importantly, Smooth Spins says that every slot and live dealer game on the desktop site also runs on mobile.

There is currently no Smooth Spins app, but I am not surprised by this and don’t expect the platform to launch an app because the mobile browser website works well enough. In terms of usability, the mobile site reminds me of JackpotCity, another BV Gaming brand. I also see similarities with other top UK casinos, such as PlayOJO and MrQ.

Registration is straightforward and includes the standard Know Your Customer (KYC) checks to comply with UKGC regulations. You’ll need to provide your name, gender, date of birth, email address, phone number, and full address. Alternatively, you can log in using your Global ID to register if you already have one. In total, it took around 2 minutes for me to set up my account at the casino.

Security & Trustworthiness

I like how transparent Smooth Spins is about its security protocols, highlighting its SSL encryption for all data across the site. You can see this confirmation on the homepage and when registering and setting up payments. The casino says all games are fair and independently tested and even has a “fairness” link at the bottom of the page. This provides a link to show an RNG fairness certification from eCOGRA.

There is a lot of detail in the site footer, including all licensing details, access to responsible gambling tools, direct links to third-party safe gaming resources, IBAS links for complaints, and more. Smooth Spins is also completely clear in the footer, stating that players must provide ID verification before they can withdraw winnings for the first time.

How Smooth Spins Casino Compares to Other Casinos

Smooth Spins does not offer a mobile app like its sister site JackpotCity Casino, but it does provide a broader game collection that is on par with BetMGM.

Smooth Spins Casino Games

Providers & Game Software Overview

Smooth Spins has around 1,200 games available in its lobby, which is a solid number for a brand-new casino. I expect this catalogue to grow as the casino matures, but I am already happy with the collection. It helps that the games come from the best software providers around, including NetEnt, Play’n GO, Pragmatic Play, Evolution Gaming, Red Tiger, Blueprint Gaming, Microgaming, and others.

It is not the most ambitious portfolio, but Smooth Spins sticks to popular slots and well-known games. You won’t find many options from niche studios, and there are no exclusive games either. But I do not mind a safe approach, and players will find options to suit their preferences. All titles go through independent testing with an RNG certification from eCOGRA.

Slot Games

AI-generated content may be incorrect.

Slot games provide the backbone of iGaming on Smooth Spins, with over 1,000 games available. There are slots covering all categories, such as classic slots, video slots, Megaways, progressive jackpots, and more. I would like to see filtering by provider, but in general, it is easy to pick slots from various categories, including popular games chosen by Smooth Spins:

  • Starburst (NetEnt): A timeless classic with vibrant visuals, low-to-medium volatility, and an RTP of 96.1%.
  • Wolf Gold (Pragmatic Play): Popular for its “Money Respin” feature and balanced RTP of 96.01%.
  • Book of Dead (Play’n GO): This is a high-volatility slot featuring free spins and an RTP near 96.21%, and it is widely loved by UK players.

Table Games

For players looking for traditional casino games, there is a decent selection on Smooth Spins. However, there is no table games category, so finding RNG tables is annoying, and I was left using the search function. Even so, it is a good collection that offers blackjack, roulette, baccarat, and video poker games.

Many table games come with popular rule variations. For example, Blackjack variants may include Classic Blackjack, Single Deck Blackjack, and Multihand Blackjack to suit different player strategies. Roulette fans can enjoy European, American, and French roulette games, including budget options like 20p Roulette.

Games come from providers like NetEnt and Play’N GO, offering good virtual replications of the casino atmosphere. All options have good graphics and immersive gameplay.

Live Dealer

For a new casino, the live dealer section on Smooth Spins stands out for flexibility and high quality. There are over 100 tables, including live blackjack, roulette, baccarat, game shows, and more. Titles come from industry leader Evolution, as well as Pragmatic Play Live and the likes of OnAir. Multiple variants allow you to find games based on your budget or play style.

Dealer quality is consistently excellent, with well-trained, friendly hosts creating an engaging and authentic experience. Stream latency is minimal, with most games featuring near real-time interactions to ensure fluid gameplay. Smooth Spins also supports mobile live casino play, adapting video streams and controls for smaller screens without sacrificing quality.

Notable games I found include Evolution classics like Lightning Roulette, Infinite Blackjack, and Dream Catcher. Pragmatic Play’s best live tables are also active, including classic Live Roulette and Live Blackjack options.

Jackpot Games

There is a rock-solid jackpot section featuring games from Blueprint’s JackpotKing and IGT’s MegaJackpots networks. Progressive jackpot slots are always a big attraction, so I was happy to see notable titles like King Kong Cash Go Bananas and Fishin’ Frenzy on JackpotKing and Cleopatra and Wheel of Fortune on MegaJackpots. During my Smooth Spins Casino review, the JackpotKing payout was running over £2.7 million.

Smooth Spins Casino Bonuses and Promotions

Welcome Bonus Review – Bet £10, Get £30

A screenshot of a video game

Smooth Spins has a very simple play-and-get welcome bonus that is not the most lucrative around but is easy to claim for all players. You’ll need to register and make a minimum deposit of at least £10 and then wager that money on any game apart from blackjack and roulette titles. You will have 7 days following registration to fulfil this wager commitment.

When you do, you’ll receive £30 in bonus funds to use on any non-blackjack and roulette games. There is a wagering requirement of 35x, which is decent but not spectacular. I would like a lower wagering requirement, considering the small value of the bonus. There is also a cap of £400 on withdrawable bonus winnings, while the bonus expires 7 days after you receive it.

Promo Code – Needed or Not?

You will not need a promo code to claim the Smooth Spins welcome bonus. Simply register, deposit at least £10, and wager it on eligible games.

Ongoing Offers for Existing Players

There is a good roster of ongoing promos on Smooth Spins, including diverse types of casino bonuses:

  • World of Dragons Wheel: Play £20 on selected Slot games to spin the World of Dragons Wheel for free spins, bonuses, or cash. If you play £100, you will get access to the World of Dragons Super Wheel.
  • Reels: Opt-in and wager £50 on Starburst or any Age of the Gods slot to enter a Reels Game to spin for free spins, bonuses, or cash.
  • Let’s Go Fishing: Play £20 on Big Bass slots to get access to the Let’s Go Fishing Board to ply for free spins or cash.
  • Mega Hits Wheel: Play £20 on selected Slot games to spin the Mega Hits Wheel for free spins, bonuses, or cash. If you play £100, you will get access to the Mega Hits Super Wheel.

VIP & Loyalty Rewards

There is currently no loyalty program or VIP club on Smooth Spins. As this is a new online casino, a rewards scheme could debut in the future.

The payment selection on Smooth Spins screams of a new casino. At the moment, only debit cards and bank transfers are available, as well as Apple Pay and Google Pay. There are no e-wallet options like PayPal or prepaid cards like Paysafecard. I do like that deposits can be large, which is helpful for high rollers. Withdrawal times are standard for debit cards and bank transfers, so expect to be waiting several business days. Alternatively, Visa FastFunds allows you to cash to a bank within an hour.

Customer Support at Smooth Spins

Customer support needs a lot of improvement as Smooth Spins Casino matures. There is currently no live support that I can find. There is a messaging system, but as far as I can tell, this is not for real-time support. There is an email contact at support@smoothspins.co.uk, and the response time was within a few hours. The FAQ section is excellent, in-depth, and easy to navigate, but it is hidden and hard to find.

Responsible Gambling at Smooth Spins

You can find responsible gambling resources under the “Safer Gaming” link at the bottom of the Smooth Spins page. I also like that the casino has a full banner on the homepage advertising safe betting. It is clear that the platform takes UKGC regulations for responsible gaming seriously. Tools for responsible gambling include deposit and bet limits, self-exclusion, transaction tracking, time tracking, and the ability to close your account. You can also click through to third-party help services such as GAMSTOP, GamCare, and GambleAware.

My Final Verdict

Pros

  • Over 1,000 slots from major game providers
  • Play over 100 live dealer games
  • A broad selection of ongoing promotions
  • Fast withdrawals with Visa FastFunds

Cons

  • No support for e-wallet payments
  • Does not offer live chat

Final Take: Smooth Spins is an interesting new online casino. It is joining the ranks of a stable of top-class iGaming platforms under the BV Gaming banner. As a fresh platform, the gaming selection is excellent, and slot bonuses are interesting and frequent. However, no live chat and limited payment options hamper the overall experience.
