Celtic remain unbeaten in this season’s Scottish Premiership, pulling clear at the top of the table, while the Hoops keep playing well in the Champions League but getting nothing to show for their efforts so, all in all, just your usual campaign at Parkhead.
Latest Celtic news
Celtic’s inconsistent form continues.
On Saturday, despite taking the lead through David Turnbull’s 86th minute penalty, the Hoops then conceded in stoppage time as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Motherwell.
This blow was then softened the following day as Rangers were also held to a draw, meaning the gap at the top of the Scottish Premiership remains eight points, with the leaders having played a game more.
Having crashed out of Europe in the week, will the Hoops pick up three points at McDiarmid Park?

Celtic’s next match
Celtic Betting Odds
Brendan Rodgers won’t be delivering yet another treble to Glasgow’s East End, following that shock 1-0 defeat to Kilmarnock in the League Cup second round in August.
Nevertheless, the Hoops are odds-on favourites to pick up a third successive Scottish Premiership title and will be favourites to retain the Scottish Cup when that competition returns for the top-flight clubs in January, currently priced at 2/1 to win both.
Celtic Scottish Premiership Odds
Celtic have won 11 of the last 12 Premiership titles, going the entire domestic season unbeaten in 2016/17 in, what was, Brendan Rodgers’ first campaign in charge.
Now back at the helm, Rodgers is yet to lost a league game so far this season, winning seven out of eight, most-notably leaving Ibrox 1-0 winners in August.
Thus, the Bhoys are priced at 20/1 to get yet another Premiership campaign invincible.
Celtic Scottish Premiership Odds
Sat seven points clear at the top having already won an Old Firm derby away from home, it’s no wonder that Celtic are priced at 1/4 to pick up a third title in a row.
Celtic Champions League Odds- to get out of the group
Having already lost to both Feyenoord in Rotterdam and then Lazio at home, both in calamitous, heartbreaking circumstances, Celtic look set to finish rock bottom of a Champions League group once again, priced at 1/25 to be eliminated at this stage yet again.

About Celtic
When Ange Postecoglou recently won a domestic treble with Celtic, there was always the fear that the Australian would soon find himself on the radar of Premier League clubs that needed a new manager.
Unfortunately for Celtic this was precisely the case and with Postecoglou soon moving on to Tottenham, their own managerial hunt would soon begin in earnest. Although it took considerable time to complete, it would eventually return Brendan Rodgers to Celtic Park.
A move that was not necessarily unexpected but one that still offered something of a surprise all the same and with the former Leicester boss returning to his previous employers, there is a sense that Rodgers is certainly a safe pair of hands.
A pair that the club definitely need for the campaign ahead and with Rangers looking like a side that is starting to get its house in order, the race for the Scottish Premiership could be one of the most intense for some time.
As always Celtic will look to crack through Europe’s glass ceiling and although they have managed to win each of the last two editions of the Scottish Premiership, there must have been some jealousy towards Rangers in 2022.
That was the year in which their nearest rivals made it to the Europa League final and although Rangers would eventually lose to Eintracht Frankfurt by virtue of a penalty shootout, these are the nights that Celtic want to be a part of.
Should Celtic be able to go deep into one of Europe’s top two competitions, it will only justify the reasoning for reinstalling Brendan Rodgers to the Celtic Park helm. At the same time though, he and his players cannot take their eyes off the domestic ball.
Players that will not include Jota after he is the latest name to join the Saudi spending spree and although the Portuguese forward will undoubtedly be a big miss, the Celtic machine is unlikely to be derailed anytime soon.
