One of the most popular international tournaments out there has to be the Copa America. It’s one that everyone gets invested in, and considering it contains the likes of Brazil and Argentina, is there any wonder?
Brazil are the current holders of the trophy, and after a last-minute change, they are also now the hosts, with Brazil taking over from Colombia and Argentina, who were scheduled to jointly-host the event.

Copa America: Groups and Teams
The competition is split into two groups of five teams, with four of the five qualifying for the knockout round. This means that just two teams will go home at the end of the group stage.
Group A: Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Venezuela
Group B: Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Paraguay, Uruguay
Copa America: Players to Look Out For
The Brazilian striker has had another good year for PSG, and played a big part in the win for Brazil back in 2019. He is the leader of the team, but also their biggest goal threat and most attacking player. If he has a strong tournament, Brazil are likely to do the same.
Messi has had a fantastic career, with many club titles and awards to his name. However, one thing is missing, a major trophy with Argentina. Can he help them get that here, in one of his last chances to do so? Just like Neymar, a strong tournament for Messi will likely mean that Argentina have a strong tournament.
The Liverpool striker plays with other talented forwards for his club, and he gets the chance to do the same with his country, playing alongside Neymar and others in this attacking line up. We’ve seen for Liverpool, he can grab goals together in patches when on form, those backing him to be the tournament top scorer will be hoping he hits the ground running and does that here.
Despite coming towards the end of his career, Cavani has been very good for Manchester United this season and comes into the Copa America for Uruguay looking to find the net again. Uruguay have the ability to shock the big two here, if at their best, and to be there, goals from Cavani are a must.
