League Two Format & Key Dates
The EFL League Two consists of 24 clubs, with each side playing 46 league fixtures across the campaign, meeting every opponent twice, once at home and once away.
Teams receive three points for a win, one for a draw and none for a defeat. If clubs finish level on points, goal difference is used to separate them, followed by goals scored.
Promotion & Relegation
The top three League Two clubs earn automatic promotion to League One, while teams finishing 4th to 7th compete in the play-offs for the fourth promotion place. The bottom two sides are relegated to the National League.
Play-Offs
The clubs finishing 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th enter the League Two play-offs. Two-legged semi-finals are followed by a one-off final at Wembley, with the winner joining the automatic promotion sides in League One.
