The race to the Sam Maguire became clearer on Monday morning as the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship quarter-final draw was made.

And it's delivered a blockbuster clash between Tyrone and Kerry, while Dublin and Galway were drawn together in another meeting between two familiar championship rivals.

The four confirmed ties are

  • Galway v Dublin
  • Cork v Mayo
  • Tyrone v Kerry
  • Louth v Monaghan

The All-Ireland Senior Football Championship quarter-final draw has thrown up a heavyweight clash between Tyrone and reigning champions Kerry, while the remaining ties see Monaghan face Louth, Galway meet Dublin and Cork take on Mayo.

All four quarter-finals will be played at Croke Park on Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 June, with the exact schedule to be confirmed later.

Tyrone are chasing a fifth Sam Maguire title, while Kerry remain on course for a third All-Ireland crown in five years after a dominant win over Armagh.

Monaghan reached the last eight after seeing off Westmeath, Dublin edged past Donegal after extra time, and Meath secured their place by beating Mayo.

Cork, Galway, Louth and Tyrone all advanced directly from round two and now sit one win away from the semi-finals on 11 and 12 July.
