Carolina Panthers Odds: 11/4 to Win Division Good Value

Week 14 saw a massive result in the NFC South division which ended up benefiting a team that didn’t even play. The long-time leaders of the division, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, lost 24-20 to the New Orleans Saints.
It’s been a rough ride for Buccaneers fans lately as their form has continued to dip and the losses have been piling up. That loss at home to the Saints meant that they have now lost four of their last five games.
Unfortunately for the Saints the win is unlikely to help them much given the fact that they have a 3-10 record. If anything, you could argue that it will hinder them in the long run by taking away their chances of having next years number one draft pick.
Carolina Panthers Odds: 11/4 to Win NFC South
The one team that was loving the result down in Tampa was the Carolina Panthers. A team that was in disarray just a couple of years ago has now found itself in with a shot at winning the division title.
They are now sitting second in the division with the same record as the Buccaneers, 7-6. Not only are they level with the Buccaneers with four games to go in the season, but they have just had their bye week.
Having that week off to rest their players and recover from any injuries is a massive bonus going into the business time of the season. Not only are they rested up but they have also had some good form over the last few weeks.
A huge win against the LA Rams was a massive bonus and one that was not expected by many people. Confidence must be through the roof after being able to beat the team that is currently the number one seed in the NFC conference.
If you look at the odds with betting sites to win the NFC South division on Paddy Power, you will see that the Buccaneers are still heavy favourites. However, now is the time to get on board the Carolina Panthers at 11/4.
The Panthers have got to play the Buccaneers twice, the Saints next week and the Seahawks at home. The Buccaneers play the Panthers twice, the Falcons at home and the Dolphins away.
If the Buccaneers are struggling so much that they can’t put away the Saints, then more losses could be incoming. Most notably if they lose to the Panthers then it could be game over for this beaten-up Bucs side.
The facts are that the Buccaneers are struggling and momentum is clearly going against them. Baker Mayfield has been performing miracles for the offence, but he can only do so much and even the return of running back Bucky Irving didn’t get them the win last week.
The Panthers on the other hand are rested from their bye week and flying with confidence after beating one of the best teams in the league. The defence is doing well and has improved a lot from last year.
Get on the Panthers at 11/4 to win the division and get a winner before the season comes to an end.
