LA Rams Super Bowl Odds: 4/1 Favourites Thanks to Consistency
Adam Martin
Week 12 was a bit of a quiet week in the NFL compared to previous ones. The Eagles let a 21-0 lead slip away at the Cowboys but that was the only real shock of the week.
One thing that was noticeable however, was how inconsistent a lot of teams are this year. Not only the bad ones but also the better ones.
Adam Martin rounds up the latest news from the NFL, as we head towards Thanksgiving Thursday.
LA Rams Super Bowl Odds - Consistency Driving the Market
The one team that is sticking out is the LA Rams. After their win against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday Night Football they now sit top of the NFC conference.
Obviously, they have had some games against easier opposition but largely they have had to play some tough ones. Playing the Seahawks and the 49ers twice ended up with two wins out of the three.
They have beaten the Buccaneers, Colts and Ravens who are all top of their respective divisions. The only games they have lost were away to the defending Super Bowl champions, Philadelphia Eagles and in overtime to division rivals the 49ers.
Currently leading the betting market at a best price of 4/1 with UK betting sites to life the Lombardi.
Stafford Continues to Lead Offensive Group
Matthew Stafford has had a wonderful season so far and it doesnโt look like its coming to an end anytime soon. The veteran quarterback has passed for 2,830 yards and is on a league high of 30 touchdowns. He has also only thrown two interceptions over the 11 games the Rams have played.
Puka Nacua has been his normal reliable self for Stafford as well. The star wide receiver has 947 passing yards, putting him third in the league as well as four touchdowns.
However, the arrival of Davante Adams this offseason has proved to be the difference for this offence. The veteran has had 12 touchdowns this season with nine coming in the last five games the Rams have played.
It would be wrong just to focus on the offence as the defence is also coming of age. They are currently ninth in the league when it comes to giving up yards per game and sixth on yards per play.
Jared Verse, Byron Young, Kobie Turner, Poona Ford and Braden Fiske have been exemplary at the front of the defensive line. Also, the secondary has improved despite concerns at the beginning of the season.
The fact is that Sean McVey and his coaching staff have got this time firing on all cylinders and itโs not likely to slow down.
LA Rams Odds - 20/1 into 4/1 for Super Bowl
When you look at the alternatives, they have all issues and inconsistencies. In the AFC the Chiefs are spluttering, the Bills canโt defend the run, the Colts struggle when you stop their run game and the 10-2 patriots havenโt played anyone of note.
In the NFC the Eagles and Packers are slow on offence, the Buccaneers and 49ers are banged up, the Lions are struggling defensively, and the Bears are an unknown in the post season.
The Rams were 20/1 before the season started and we had them to make the Superbowl in our predictions back in August. Now they are 4/1 favourites.
Donโt wait any longer and get on board with this consistently good team that isnโt going to slow down.
