Love Island All Stars: “I’ve Hung Up My Boots,” Says Winner Casey O’Gorman

Love Island All Stars has delivered plenty of drama over the years, including iconic fiery confrontations, jaw-dropping re-couplings and plenty of intense online commentary.
And according to former Islander and recent winner Casey O’Gorman, this series is proving that the game has changed significantly for those returning to the sun.

Is the Romance Real?
One of Casey’s biggest observations this series is the growing sense that the Islanders are far more "clued up" than ever before.
He believes the veteran status of the cast makes it harder to spot genuine sparks, noting that everyone now knows exactly how the show works.
From his perspective, the drama is top-tier, but the romance is struggling to keep pace. “I thought it was a bit of a slow start, but it’s definitely picked up now. It’s been a lot of drama, lots of arguments, and lots of entertainment, exactly what the viewers want.”
However, he notes a distinct lack of "connection" compared to the fireworks of previous years. “In terms of romance, there hasn’t been much. It’s hard to pick a winner when there isn’t a standout favorite couple yet.”
The Scott vs. Leanne Dynamic
The most talked-about storyline of the series so far has been the constant shifting of Scott’s affections, particularly the triangle involving Leanne and Belle.
Casey is clear that while Scott is delivering entertainment, the public votes are clearly dictating the moves inside the villa. “People change as soon as there’s a public vote. As soon as something happens where we find out what the public is thinking back home, people change their behavior.”
Having won the show himself, Casey sees the tactical play behind Scott’s sudden interest in Leanne after a poor public showing with Shay. “I thought it was quite interesting how Scott was in the bottom couple, and as soon as he found out, he was like, ‘Okay, let me see if Leanne’s interested.’ That was interesting to see.”
“Everyone Is a Pro Now”
One thing Casey can’t ignore is just how much the "All Star" status affects the authenticity of the villa. “Everyone on All Stars has done it before, so they know how the game works. Some more than others. You can see people thinking about how a conversation is going to look in the edit.”
He puts the high emotional stakes down to the fact that these Islanders aren't just looking for love—they are managing established brands. “It’s good and bad. Someone could be acting as their authentic self, find out the public aren’t liking them, and then completely change.”
Who Casey Thinks Is Genuine
Despite his criticisms, Casey does believe there are Islanders approaching the experience with the right mindset.
Millie and Zach are the one pairing he sees as truly authentic. “I could potentially see Millie and Zach lasting. Millie has a big fan base and she seems really happy. I think they’ll be at least Top Two.”
He also rates Samie and Kieran as a strong unit. “The only people who haven't had much problems recently are probably Samie and Kieran. They seem quite strong.”
Jessy, too, earns praise for her impact as a bombshell. “She’s a really good-looking girl and she’s definitely going to make her mark. You’ve just got to own it and not care what other people think.”
Is the All Stars Concept Stretching Thin?
With some Islanders returning for their third stint, Casey questions whether the All Stars concept has a long-term future. “I personally think this will be the last series. The people from the first few series feel they’re too old for it now. I can’t see it carrying on for another series.”
However, he does see the merit in the recent twists. “Bringing in the Americans could change everything. It opens the show up to a bigger audience and makes it feel fresh again.”
Life Outside the Villa
Away from Love Island, Casey says he’s in a very different place. Now focusing on his drink business, WhatsUp, and his role as Best Man for Tom Clare’s upcoming wedding, he feels finished with the villa for good. “I’ve hung my boots up. I’ve won it, I’ve completed it. It would be embarrassing to go back on after winning the most recent one.”
Looking back, he’s grateful for the life-changing opportunities, from brand deals to being recognised by Bradley Cooper in New York, but for him, that chapter is closed. “I loved being in front of the camera, but my Love Island days are done.”
Final Predictions
As for who could take the crown this year, Casey’s money is on the established favorites. “I reckon Zach and Millie. Millie’s loved by the UK and they seem the most sane.”
“It’s still open. But the next 10 days will be the real test of whether these couples are for real.”
