Michael Carrick Under Pressure: Can He Survive the Trip to Leeds That Ended Amorim's Reign?

Manchester United go back to Elland Road on Sunday - the last time they played there, in January, it finished Ruben Amorim's time as manager.
This time it's Michael Carrick in the dugout, and he arrives as the shortest-priced Premier League manager with football betting sites to lose his job.
United have won two of their first nine games in all competitions this season.
Both wins came at home, against Ipswich Town and Sabah.
They lost 2-0 at Atletico Madrid on Tuesday with ten men, having already gone out of the Carabao Cup at home to Brighton after leading 2-0.
Carrick took permanent charge in the summer after an interim spell, but nine games in, he already tops the list for next Premier League manager sacked odds.
Next Manager Sacked Odds: Carrick vs the Field
BetVictor make Carrick the 5/4 favourite to be the next Premier League manager sacked, with the bookmaker among the UK betting sites offering odds on the market.
Fulham's Alvaro Arbeloa is next in the betting at 5/2.

Carrick Returns to the Ground That Ended Amorim's Reign
Of all 38 fixtures on the Premier League calendar, a trip to Elland Road is probably the last one Carrick needs right now.
Amorim was dismissed after United's visit there last season.
The ground now hosts Carrick's own team with his position already under scrutiny before a ball is kicked.
Fabrizio Romano has said nothing is imminent.
United, he says, have not approached any replacement, and Carrick has the board's backing "at the moment."
Lisandro Martinez's comments after the Atletico defeat were read by some as aimed more at the boardroom than the dressing room.
"At the moment" is doing a lot of work in that quote.
It covers today - it says nothing about what happens if United lose at the ground where the last manager's reign ended.
Will Manchester United Sack Carrick?
Carrick has only had nine games in all competitions this season in permanent charge, and inherited a difficult rebuild after Amorim's exit in January.
There is no agreed successor lined up, which matters.
Clubs rarely move fast when there is no one ready to come in, and United have not held talks with anyone yet, per Romano.
A result at Leeds would not decide anything on its own.
But it would be the clearest test yet of how much patience is actually left at Old Trafford, and how closely this weekend is being watched.
