Brighton's club-record signing in 2019, released this summer after seven years and 158 appearances. Sheffield United's interest has cooled over his fitness after 18 months out with injury.
Left Back: Tyrell Malacia (26)
Manchester United's left-back for four years, now a free agent after his contract expired following an injury-hit spell at Old Trafford.
Right Midfield: Solly March (32)
300 appearances and 15 years at Brighton before his release this summer. Crystal Palace, Burnley and West Ham have all been linked with a free-transfer swoop.
Centra Midfield: Yves Bissouma (29)
Premier League spells at Brighton and Tottenham. Free since his Spurs contract expired, with Fulham, Brighton, Celtic and Coventry all credited with interest.
Centre Midfield: Dele Alli (30)
Tottenham and Everton midfielder without a club since leaving Como in September 2025. Training with Spurs to stay fit, with Monza reportedly exploring a short-term deal.
Left Midfield: Wilfried Zaha (33)
A Crystal Palace legend across two spells, plus stints at Manchester United and Cardiff City. Free since leaving Galatasaray, with Swiss side Young Boys reportedly in talks.
Striker: Jamie Vardy (39)
Leicester City's Premier League title winner, free since leaving Cremonese. West Ham, Sheffield Wednesday and Wrexham have all been linked, though Vardy has ruled out an emotional Wednesday or Leicester return.
Striker: Raheem Sterling (31)
Liverpool, Manchester City and Chelsea winger, released by Feyenoord after just three months and eight games following his January exit from Chelsea.

So, Where Would They Finish?
Put this XI into the Premier League today and there’s proven top-flight quality in every position – including former England internationals Sterling and Alli, Premier League winner Vardy and two-time FA Cup winner Pereira.
The downside is an average age of 31 and no time spent playing together, but there’s still enough experience and quality to compete with plenty of established Premier League sides.
Why Are So Many Players Still Without a Club?
Injury records have also played a role, with Webster without a competitive appearance for over a year and Malacia's time at Old Trafford disrupted by fitness problems.
Timing is another factor, as several were released when their contracts expired, leaving little opportunity to find new clubs before pre-season, while their age and wage demands may also be putting off clubs despite their proven Premier League experience.
