Sunderland vs Nottingham Forest Tips, Premier League Predictions & Odds

Sunderland and Nottingham Forest will clash under the lights at the Stadium of Light in the Friday night game.
The Black Cats will be licking their wounds after a last-gasp 4-3 defeat away to Aston Villa last weekend, while Forest bolstered their survival hopes with a 4-1 trouncing of Burnley at the City Ground.
Sunderland vs Nottingham Forest Tips
This game is a good way to usher in the weekend, so capitalise on the free bets floating about.
Tip 1: Nottingham Forest to Win to Nil
After back-to-back wins against Newcastle and Tottenham, it seemed Sunderland would kick on, but they were edged out in a thriller against Villa.
The Black Cats showed plenty of attacking endeavour, but ultimately, Villa were that bit sharper in front of goal, and Ollie Watkins helped make the difference with a two-goal showing.
Meanwhile, Forest, who were below par in the first half against Burnley, turned things around remarkably with Morgan Gibbs-White rattling home a hat-trick to put them five points above the drop zone, marking their first home league win since December.
Moreover, Forest have extended their unbeaten run in all competitions to seven, comfortably their best spell of the campaign.
While the Stadium of Light was previously a fortress for Sunderland, they have lost two of their past three league games on home soil, which is slightly disconcerting.
This is hardly a storied Premier League encounter, and although Sunderland eked out a 1-0 victory in September, I fancy Forest to turn the tables and win to nil.
Tip 2: Anytime Scorer (Morgan Gibbs-White)
Gibbs-White’s hat-trick was the catalyst against Burnley, and he has been Forest’s talisman this term.
His treble was his first in Forest colours, becoming just the third player to achieve that feat for the Midlands outfit, joining Kevin Campbell and Chris Wood in that elite club.
With 12 league goals fired this term, Gibbs-White invariably delivers, and he will be key in the closing stages of the campaign.
For my second tip, I reckon Gibbs-White, who has plundered five times in his past five outings in all competitions, could hit the target at any point across the 90 minutes.
Tip 3: Anytime Scorer (Morgan Gibbs-White), Over 10.5 corners, Sunderland Over 5.5 shots on target
To kick things off, I’ve mentioned how influential Gibbs-White has been for Forest, so he could net at any point in the game.
The previous encounter saw plenty of corners awarded (11), and two of the past three clashes have seen 10 or more corners handed out. Over 10.5 corners is worth adding to your betting slip.
Round things off with Sunderland to keep the Forest keeper busy. Although Sunderland only managed three shots on target in their smash-and-grab win over Forest last time out, I think they will be more creative at home, and Over 5.5 shots on target is attainable.
