With 15 winning days out of the last 17, another very good week with a profit of +£18.37, making it the third successful week in a row, the highlights being the victories of Sea Thrift (11/1 on Thursday) and Pep Talking (16/1 with a 5p R4 on Saturday).

Alan Kelly's Tips - Thursday, 6 November
Some excellent jumps action on Thursday afternoon, headed by the Clonmel Oil Chase card in Ireland.
However, we stay closer to home for today's selections from the meetings at Newbury and Sedgefield.
1:20pm Sedgefield - Prized Jet
This will be just the third start over fences, and sixth in all for the five-year-old mare PRIZED JET, trained in Ireland by John Joseph Hanlon until joining the stable of Jennie Candlish last week. The daughter of Jet Away unseated her rider in a beginners chase at Tramore on her debut over fences just under a month ago before crossing the Irish Sea for a handicap over today’s course and distance 10 days later.
Jumping for fun in the lead, Prized Jet had all of her rivals in trouble approaching the 12th fence with a massive lead, only for the mare to come to grief when looking well in control. 5lb Claimer Paddy Hanlon keeps the ride on Prized Jet, who runs off the same mark of 98 in what looks to be a very winnable contest.
Joint top weight Imperial Rule won at this meeting 12 months ago and is capable of a big run, but if putting in a clear round of jumping this time, Prized Jet is fancied to open her account over fences at the third attempt.
Recommendation: Prized Jet - 5/2 with bet365
2:15pm Newbury - Khrisma
A cracking mares’ novices’ hurdle which is sure to throw up plenty of future winners. Nicky Henderson’s Khrisma heads the early betting following her excellent second to the Gordon Elliott-trained Casheldale Lad at the Punchestown Festival back in May. While KHRISMA was receiving a handy stone from the three quarters of a length Cullentra winner, the pair finished well clear of the other 10 contenders.
The form of that race received a boost when the 146-rated winner went on to finish third in the Galway Hurdle before taking Listed races at Listowel and Down Royal, the latter only 6 days ago. In a race full of promising hurdling recruits, in particular Jackie Hobbs, Sheezer Dancer and Strong Run, the greater experience of Khrisma, winner of a couple of Grade 3 contests when trained in France by Emmanuel Clayeux, could prove the deciding factor.
With so many lightly-raced contenders, a watchful eye on the betting market is advised.
Recommendation: Khrisma - 9/4 with bet365
2:50pm Newbury - East India Express (Nap)
Irish Grand National winner Haiti Couleurs will do well to win this Pertemps Hurdle Series Qualifier off top weight of 12st, the mount of Sean Bowen last seen over the smaller obstacles finishing third on this course off a 10lb lower mark back in February. The eight-year-old son of Dragon Dancer could develop into a credible Gold Cup contender later in the season but looks sure to improve for today’s run over hurdles.
Hititi, Bill Baxter and Docpickedme are others who will probably benefit for the run before going back over fences, in which case I think the three horses to concentrate on are the David Pipe-trained Thanksforthehelp, Tranquil Sea from the Dan Skelton stable and Nicky Henderson’s EAST INDIA EXPRESS (Nap).
Tranquil Sea won a Chepstow handicap last month on his second start for the stable since leaving that of Paul Nolan in Ireland and is respected off a 6lb higher mark, while the J P McManus-owned Thanksforthehelp was last seen winning a competitive 25-runner handicap at the Punchestown Festival.
Jack Tudor’s mount would take plenty of beating if able to repeat that effort. However, East India Express was strongly fancied to take a 20-runner handicap at Cheltenham last month, only to fall at the 5th flight when going well. Racing off the same mark of 137 and with the 3lb claim of conditional Freddie Gordon, the promising Milan gelding, who may prove better than a handicapper before the end of the season, can gain some compensation for that mishap with a victory in this informative Pertemps Qualifier.
Recommendation: East India Express (Nap) - 11/4 with bet365
