PricedUp Betting Review

The wheels in the sports betting industry never stop turning, and PricedUp is a newish site on the hunt to entice customers.

Operated by Off Course bookmakers, PricedUp, which surfaced in May 2024, doesn't break the mould, but it has been designed to provide a compelling betting experience for punters.

PricedUp, for the eagle-eyed among you, bears resemblances to NRG.bet and Planet Sport Bet in terms of layout and arrangement of betting market, albeit they have deviated slightly on the choice of colour palette. Nevertheless, it is sleek and functional, and tries to model itself as a modern-day Betfair.

Okay, a few signature features are missing to make that comparison, such as a price requests, but PricedUp has adeptly met the demands of UK players, advertising an extensive range of gaming markets to tuck into.

The price boosts, known as #PricedUpPushes, is one of the cornerstones of the site, and they are constantly churned out. Don't worry, I've reserved space later on to discuss the purpose of these.

As a UK Gambling Commission licensed site, PricedUp adheres to the strict framework and regulations imposed. Therefore, the latest security protocols are abided by, including adopting firewall technologies to safeguard payments, including KYC procedures, and there are direct links to responsible gambling.

Even though PricedUp has been around for over a year, it has gone about its business quietly, sneaking under the radar. Yes, they have delved into horse racing betting, sponsoring some UK meetings, but other partnerships haven't been forthcoming. I also noticed it hasn't received any industry awards, but give it time.

My PricedUp review intends to separate fact from fiction. I've taken a broader look at the desktop and mobile site UX, dissected sports you can wager on, and the quality of the in-play betting product. Don't skim-read this page!

User Experience - My Personal View

An essential part of my PricedUp review revolves around the desktop UX. My first impression was positive. PricedUp, unlike some betting sites, isn't overelaborate, striking a good balance between style and presentation.

While some sites are more jazzy like BetMGM, which tries to grab your attention at every turn, PricedUp is uncomplicated and easy to navigate. A regular gamut of targeted sports promotions is advertised, although the sign-up bonus was harder to pinpoint, unlike Betfair or bet365 which is one of the first things that screams out on the homepage.

Performance-wise, PricedUp was equally swift and robust on desktop and mobile. I didn't experience any buffering issues, and the sign-up process didn't present any issues. On that note, the deposit process was seamless, but a few more payment options would have been more appreciated given the site only facilitates debit cards and bank transfers for deposits and withdrawals. Most UK betting sites now boast a healthy smattering of e-wallets, so PricedUp should take note.

It seemed strange there weren't many customised options, such as favourites or quick bets that have become the norm at sports betting operators. That said, filling in a betting slip is straightforward, so you can hover over and click on the most appealing markets before parting with your money. Oh, and the bet builders, which I've referred to later on, enhance the experience.

I also liked the Golf Tips tab, which directed me to a YouTube video, where the site collaborated with others to preview and provide insights for the Open Championship. As my PricedUp review explains later, the site holds its own for golf betting.

However, a couple of areas noted for improvement. Apart from incorporating favourites, quick links should be embedded, like at easyBet, so bettors can pinpoint particular competitions that appeal the most. That said, along the top of the sports page, you could locate outrights, specials, and top European leagues for upcoming matches, so maybe I shouldn't pontificate too much over that.

Eminently more concerning was the lack of payment options. I don't think it's much to ask, especially as modern bettors crave more freedom with bankrolling their accounts, and some methods are quicker than others. Perhaps the site will address this.

Mobile Betting Experience

The PricedUp mobile counterpart was equally as enjoyable as the desktop site. There were no slowdown issues, and there is a fully functioning betting app available for iOS and Android users. So far, there have been over 1,000 downloads on Android, but it doesn't take up too much space (around 20MB).

On last viewing, I only saw five iOS app ratings, but it can take time to gain traction. Anyway, the features on the app mirror the desktop version. The in-play area was fairly polished, and I loved the live tracker installed. This was similar to what I found previously at LiveScoreBet, and for tennis betting, there were useful mini stack packs, highlighting rankings and form to give players an idea of how clashes might transpire.

Cashing out is seamless both on the betting app and desktop, but punters can only cash out stakes in their entirety, rather than partially that you can do so at bet365 or Betfred.

Price boosts are a nice touch, but I couldn't see what the original odds were on the betting app before they were raised. For example, Paddy Power details price boosts from 7/1 to 9/1, but PricedUp just displays the latest price for a particular market. This seems an oversight considering the app and site mention when prices shorten or drift, evoking memories of my time spent at BetGoodwin.

My only other grievance was the lack of live streaming. At the moment, live streaming is just restricted to horse racing and greyhound racing, so PricedUp needs to get its act together if it wishes to be considered a big player.

PricedUp Betting Markets & Odds

PricedUp is par for the course for sports coverage, and there are currently 22 sports to wager on. American football and ice hockey are given sufficient coverage, but as opposed to some sites, such as QuickBet, PricedUp doesn't extend its reach to more niche sports, such as padel and futsal.

All types of bets are facilitated at PricedUp, including singles, doubles, and combos. Yes, there are competitive odds plugged, but I wouldn't necessarily say they are jaw-dropping. For example, those excited about the new Premier League season will be disappointed by the lack of football markets. If you were looking to bet on Manchester United vs Arsenal, the traditional match winner and BTTS line was available as expected, but I couldn't find the Correct Score, and it seemed a bit light compared to its rivals. Oh, and I would like to have seen an Early Payout option to spice things up for punters wagering on football.

I was very impressed with the extent of other sports, most notably golf. PricedUp was awash with golf lines, and for big events, such as The Open, virtually every head-to-head bet was plugged, giving bettors plenty of choice.

Also, the bet builder feature deserves some credence. Like at BetVictor or Paddy Power, who are undisputed bet builder kings, PricedUp keeps to its end of the bargain. For example, for some football matches, such as the Women's Euros, I could compile wagers featuring player props, such as Player X to score, cards, and there was plenty to mull over. Careful consideration has gone into helping new customers maximise the betting experience, but players can't cash out with this feature.

Horse racing, meanwhile, was strong, and for each race, there was a mini preview which is great if you like to known the form guide or track conditions. While live streaming is afforded for horse racing, there were no specific offers such as Best Odds Guaranteed or Extra Places. Yes, BOG and Extra Places has become sacred at other sites such as Betfred and William Hill, and after all, punters want value for money.

I was also slightly taken aback by the maximum payout levels. For most sports, PricedUp offers a maximum payout of ยฃ500,000 per day which is smaller compared to Betfair and Unibet (both ยฃ1 million), and this is something that should be explored going forward.

PricedUp Betting Bonuses and Promotions

PricedUp doesn't bow to convention with sports promotions. The main sign-up offer has a casino element to it in terms of offering free spins, while the other deals lean into price boosts.

There aren't any loyalty rewards, but as the odds boosts are the centrepiece of the site, it's no surprise PricedUp wants to draw attention to these. I do think a more diverse range of deals is needed to liven things up.

PricedUp Betting Welcome Bonus Review โ€“ Bet ยฃ40, Get a ยฃ20 Free Bet and 100 spins

PricedUp doesn't charge out the gate, but the main sign-up deal consists of a ยฃ20 free bet when making a qualifying bet of ยฃ40, but 100 free spins are thrown in. The minimum odds attached are 2.00, and this offer can be used on all sports.

You will have to hurry as free bets expire within seven days. All payment methods are eligible for the promo, but you can't use this bonus in conjunction with any other deal.

What is the PricedUp Betting Promo Code?

When claiming this offer, the promo code 'bab20' was already written into the promo code box for me, so make sure you check this.

PricedUp Betting payment Details

PricedUp only has a few payment options for bankrolling your account. I've highlighted expected deposit timeframes and limits for debit card withdrawals.

Customer Service at PricedUp Betting

PricedUp claims to offer exceptional customer support; however, I couldn't see a live chat facility. Although you can get in touch with a member of the support team through Instagram or X, some bettors might not find it the most practical option. Nevertheless, my query was dealt with effectively, whereas emails offer slower response times.

The FAQs area isn't the most extensive, but don't knock it. You can open up the tab on the sidebar, and the answers are a bit more punchy compared to some sites.

Responsible Gambling at PricedUp Betting

PricedUp is committed to responsible gambling, and among the most recognised tools advertised include:

  • Deposit Limits - Players can manage their gambling habits by adjusting how much they bet per session. Rolling net deposit limits have been introduced, and customer support is on hand to help out.
  • Play Break - If you wish to take a breather, PricedUp restricts access to gambling products for up to six weeks, and the break can't be ended early.
  • Self Exclusion - Those who want to take a longer break can do so, and your account will be closed for a minimum of six months.

Apart from trying to curb underage gambling, PricedUp works with a few organisations offering practical advice to problem gamblers, such as Gamblers Anonymous and Gambling Therapy.

Holding a license from the UK Gambling Commission, PricedUp abides by all security protocols, and the site is transparent about the service it offers. I'm referring specifically to the data collected on players as well as cookie policies.

My Verdict

In summary, PricedUp turns heads with its excellent bet builders and price boosts to enhance the betting experience, and the app is equally as reliable as its desktop counterpart.

However, a lack of live streaming across more sports and a meagre range of payment methods are two blemishes in its copybook, which were slightly disconcerting.

PricedUp, though, seems to have a clear vision, and if you are a keen golf bettor, this could be the perfect site for you!
