Ladbrokes Review
Synonymous with betting and gaming in the UK since 1886, Ladbrokes is an undoubted powerhouse, and it never stands still.
Ladbrokes has a rich heritage, and in a fiercely competitive landscape full of big name betting sites, it has carved out a stellar reputation. Owned by Entain, which controls a whole host of recognisable brands, including Coral and BetMGM, Ladbrokes has more than a passing resemblance to Coral.

Football is one of the main drivers of the site, with bet builders and free predictor games tied into the package. There is also a big emphasis placed on horse racing, with Best Odds Guaranteed available across all UK races, putting it on an even keel with bet365 and Betfred.
Streamlined and sleek, Ladbrokes has tried to connect with bettors through targeted campaigns. That's Ladsification, which was launched in the summer of 2025, is a classic example. Ladbrokes has tailored its approach to deliver meaningful experiences, and it is a brand-wide commitment.
More importantly, Ladbrokes is a trusted sports betting operator to play at. It possesses a United Kingdom Gambling Commission certificate and it is equipped with the latest 128-bit SSL technology, ensuring bettors are protected while making transactions online.
In the past, Ladbrokes has scooped numerous industry awards, and in 2024, it became the official partner of Liverpool, putting pen to paper on a multi-year partnership. Ladbrokes branding is visible on the on-pitch LED screens at Anfield, but the deal also entails growing grassroots football, especially in deprived areas, so that should be commended.
My review supplies a broad overview of the product, covering areas such as mobile betting, promos, and the quality of customer support offered. Don't skim this page!
User Experience - My Personal View
At first glance, Ladbrokes is almost a carbon copy of Coral. Well, presentation-wise, that was true, but instead of navy blue, Ladbrokes has gone for a red and white colour palette, making it quite eye-catching.
There were no obvious lags and most areas of the site were well signposted. Creating an account was seamless and I was able to place a deposit in just a matter of seconds. This is great as I could get on with playing, and there were no hold-ups. I had little issue in pulling up various sports markets, including golf. The golf coverage was fairly comprehensive. Covering a smorgasbord of markets, including round betting and other outrights for PGA Tour and DP World Tour tournaments, this married up well with what I found at bet365 and Star Sports.
Speed of course is paramount, and after several tests, there were no slowdowns or underlying performance issues. There were a few customised options that struck a chord. For example, there was a quick bet feature which expedited the wagering process, but there were also a myriad of price boosts and enhanced accas. The price boosts, for example, saw odds inflated from 10/1 to 12/1, making it an intriguing prospect, but it supercharged the betting experience like at Paddy Power and Betfred.
Free predictor games also carried appeal, and guessing correct scores for football matches could see players scoop a prize of up to ยฃ10,000, which admittedly is smaller than Sky Bet, but it's still worth checking out. Oh, and I couldn't forget about Lucky Dip, a feature also available at talkSPORT and BetVictor, where players can land phenomenal odds for randomly assigned picks on the sports you love.
Yes, the popular 2-Up Early Payouts for football betting are included, but I noticed a couple of shortcomings. Bet builders were largely limited to football, which was disappointing, and there were no Requested Odds either which was a surprise given you can find these at Coral.
I feel the site could have been rearranged slightly to embed promotions on the left-hand side of the menu as opposed to having them on the top bar, but maybe the designers will address this in the future.
Mobile Betting Experience
Any betting site worth its salt will incorporate an app. The Ladbrokes app surpassed the desktop site and this mirrored the mobile site. Indeed, the Ladbrokes app was sleek and functional, and navigation was simple too.
I particularly enjoyed the in-play options on the betting app. For example, with football, the graphics were stylish, maybe not quite in LiveScoreBet's league, but there was a comprehensive breakdown of stats, such as dangerous attacks mounted in the first half and shots on target.
Apart from in play betting, the Ladbrokes app offers a live stream for some sports, most notably tennis and football, and this was represented by a little monitor button. However, you will need to be logged into your account to gain unfettered access. Cash Out is also available on the app, and this includes partial cash out if you wish to leave some of your bet running, so that was pleasing.
Available for iOS and Android users, the Ladbrokes app received a better score on Apple devices. Yes, the app averaged 4.7 stars out of 5 from over 75,000 ratings published. Some users may have been quite scathing, but that didn't put me off, and I was entertained.
My one drawback of the Ladbrokes app was I had to wade through the help section to locate the live chat facility which was a bit annoying. Other sites usually have it at the bottom of the site and can be instantly opened, so that should be looked at.
Other than that, the app fulfilled its remit and there was even a Shop Locator available like at William Hill to alert you to the closest betting shop if you wish to place a wager at a brick-and-mortar location.
Ladbrokes Betting Markets & Odds
Ladbrokes is deluged with over 35 sports to wager on, putting it on a level footing with Coral. This was pretty extensive, and aside from the mainstream disciplines, there was also space reserved for covering virtual sports and netball.
Whether it is wagering on singles, combos, or even compiling accas, then Ladbrokes should be one of your first ports of call. Ladbrokes offers acca insurance like Betfred does, and you will be refunded if one of your legs loses.
However, Ladbrokes is revered for bet builders. There are pre-built packages, but if you want to be more selective, you can tuck into Over/Under goals, card markets, and more, which was delightful. The one curious was football was the main proponent of bet builders, however, the Bet Builder + feature meant I could mix football fixtures with other events, such as the Grand National to pique your interest. Trust us, it is worth trying!
The general overround of odds for in play and pre-match betting were supremely competitive, and the sports selection was vast. In particular, the horse racing element of the Ladbrokes betting product shone. Apart from big daily boosts, there were a wealth of lines, including forecast, top finish, and length of victory, but Ladbrokes has teamed up with the Racing Post for the latest insights. They have offered short previews and Ladbrokes is complete with live commentary just like at bet365, so a big tick in my box.
I don't feel Ladbrokes gives combat sports much attention as it currently lacks depth. For boxing betting or MMA, I generally only saw one line (match winner market) for upcoming bouts. However, opening things up more in terms of advertising method of victory or round betting lines would make it more appealing.
Ladbrokes Sign Up Offer and Promotions
Ladbrokes and promotions go hand in hand. There is a concerted structure, involving free bets valid for the welcome offer, price boosts, acca insurances, and more.
Indeed, Ladbrokes has most bases covered, so you can latch onto these deals throughout the year. Just remember to check those T&Cs before proceeding.
Ladbrokes Welcome Bonus Review โ Bet ยฃ5 Get ยฃ20 in Free Bets
If you sign up to Ladbrokes, you can tap into ยฃ20 in free bets when you wager ยฃ5. This is on the lower side of sign-up bonuses, but a small welcome deposit will be appreciated.
Anyway, you can score this deal by placing a single or each-way bet totalling ยฃ5 at odds of 1/2 or greater. There are no wagering requirements, and the free bets can be used on four separate sports markets. Qualifying bets must be made within 14 days of registration.
What is the Ladbrokes Betting Promo Code?
There is no promo code available for the sign-up offer, so you can claim the deal automatically upon creating an account.

Customer Service at Ladbrokes
In any review, customer service is something I pay special attention to. Ladbrokes didn't do too badly here, and the live chat facility consisted of an AI-bot named CHIP, but this could have been better signposted on the site.
It redeems itself slightly through an extensive FAQs section that covers virtually every aspect of the Ladbrokes betting product, so you're in good hands. Oh, and you can get in touch via social media, and typically, I received a response in under five minutes, so that was impressive.
Responsible Gambling at Ladbrokes
Responsible gambling has become a sacrosanct part of engaging with a betting site, and Ladbrokes is well versed here, offering the following tools:
- Play Breaks - A new safer gambling feature, players can take regular breaks in between active playing sessions of up to three hours, and you'll get a five-minute warning before the break starts.
- Deposit limits - Players using the Ladbrokes app or desktop site can cap the amount they deposit on a weekly or monthly basis.
- Self-Exclusion - Players can impose a ban on playing at the site from six months up to five years. During this time, you won't be able to make deposits or receive emails.
Players can install GamBan blocking software for their devices, and Ladbrokes works with a handful of organisations to support problem players, such as the National Gambling Helpline and Gordon Moody.
Security is taken seriously, and the highest levels of encryption are used to protect player transactions online. Ladbrokes is also open about the data it collects on bettors, particularly for marketing purposes.
My Verdict
In summary, Ladbrokes hits the mark with its wonderfully constructed app, but the raft of promotions and amazing odds across a wide range of sports should be celebrated.
Okay, perhaps a few more bet builders for some sports would have been appreciated, and the live chat facility could have been better signposted.
That said, Ladbrokes is a bit of a jack-of-all-trades, and this site sets the bar. Even if you aren't a high roller, you'll love what this site has to offer.
