AFC South Odds: Jaguars Value to Win Division
With week 13 over and done with now we are getting towards the business time of the NFL season.
In most divisions the picture has already become clear as to who will be fighting it out in the playoffs and who will be looking to rebuild for next season.
One division, however, is definitely up for grabs as three teams can win the AFC South, here's our look at Free Bets to see who can win this division.
AFC South Odds
The Jacksonville Jaguars have just taken over at the top of the division with an 8-4 record.
Level with them are long time leaders the Indianapolis Colts and then the Houston Texans are one game behind at 7-5.Â
Currently the Colts are 5/4 favourites with betting sites while the Jaguars are 6/4 and the Texans 7/2 outsiders. Now is the time to get involved and now is the time that you should be backing the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Colts on the Slide
The Indianapolis Colts look to have hit a buffer. Two losses in two weeks against the Chiefs and Texans have exposed an obvious issue. If Jonathon Taylor can’t run the ball effectively then the Colts can’t score many points.
Daniel Jones has always been limited in his ability to be consistent. The former Giants quarterback has been in the NFL since 2019 and there is a reason he is on his third team.
He is currently playing with a fracture in his fibula as well which although he says he feels good enough to play with must be distracting. On top of that the Colts are facing some seriously good run defences in the next few weeks.
They must play the Jaguars twice, the Texans and the Seahawks. All of them are in the top ten in the league when it comes to not giving up rushing yards. Even their only other opponent, the 49ers, are twelfth.
It is tough to see the Colts do much now and the Texans are a game back already. They then must face the Chiefs and Chargers as well as the Colts. Both AFC West teams will be tough to beat.
Time to Back the Jaguars
The Texans do have some nice matchups against the Raiders and Cardinals but that will not be enough to win the division. The Jaguars, however, have some decent games for the run-in.
They must go up against the Jets and the Titans who they should be able to beat reasonably comfortably. They also must face the Colts twice in what should be a good matchup for the Jaguars.
Finally, they face the Broncos, which will be a tough game, but they could reasonably win four out of their final five. If they do this then they should bring the division title back to Duval County.
The Jaguars overall defence has been a top ten one this season and they shouldn’t face to many problems from their future opponents.
The offence has struggled at times, but they do have multiple options now and since their bye in week seven have scored 25 points or more in each game.
Take the 6/4 on offer for the Jaguars because if they get the win next week against the Colts it will disappear quickly.
