Everton
Everton are the clear second-favourite outcome behind staying put, and it's easy to see why bookmakers rate this the likeliest exit.
Grealish scored two goals and set up six more during his loan spell under David Moyes before a stress fracture in his foot ended his season in January, and he's stayed close to the club ever since - doing his rehab at their training ground rather than City's, and keeping Everton listed as his club on social media.
Toffees CEO Angus Kinnear confirmed on 19 August that the two sides have "remained in contact," though City wanted £50 million for him last summer and Everton haven't yet come back in with a fresh approach.
Aston Villa
The romantic option, and the one that's shortened the most this month.
Grealish left Villa Park for a then-British-record £100 million in 2021, and Unai Emery's side are back in the Champions League this season with a genuine gap to fill after losing Morgan Rogers.
A return wouldn't happen by deadline day on reported terms, but it's live enough that one bookmaker briefly made Aston Villa favourites in the past week before the market settled back behind Everton.
Atletico Madrid
The one route out of England, and the only club in the top four linked with a fee rather than hoping for a free next summer.
Diego Simeone's interest has been reported consistently across the window, and it would be Grealish's first move abroad in his career.
