Scotland made it two wins from three matches in this year’s Six Nations when putting in an excellent performance to defeat England two weeks ago and they head to Rome full of confidence.
And they will meet an Italian side that is also full of confidence, having been one successful penalty kick away from a historic win over France, eventually settling for a 13-13 draw in Lille.
However, Italy are on a record 26 consecutive home defeats in the Six Nations and have lost their last eight matches to Scotland, home and away.

Duhan van der Merwe to score the first try
How to stop van der Merwe will be top of Italy’s concerns on Saturday as the South African-born winger pursues Stuart Hogg’s Scottish try-scoring record despite having played only 37 Tests.
His hat trick against England moved him onto five tries for the tournament and he looks like a solid bet to bag the opening try in the Stadio Olimpico against an Italian side that historically has struggled out wide against Scotland.
