Italy vs Scotland Six Nations 2024 Betting Tips & Match Preview
Scotland take on Italy in Rome aiming to notch up another Six Nations victory
After a week off, the 2024 Six Nations returns with three huge clashes this weekend, including Scotland facing Italy in the Stadio Olimpico in front of a capacity crowd in the Italian capital.
- Italy vs Scotland
- 2:15pm, Saturday, March 9th
- Stadio Olimpico, Rome
Scotland made it two wins from three matches in this year’s Six Nations when putting in an excellent performance to defeat England two weeks ago and they head to Rome full of confidence.
And they will meet an Italian side that is also full of confidence, having been one successful penalty kick away from a historic win over France, eventually settling for a 13-13 draw in Lille.
However, Italy are on a record 26 consecutive home defeats in the Six Nations and have lost their last eight matches to Scotland, home and away.
The visitors head to the Stadio Olimpico as 11-point favourites, but will they have things their way in Rome?

Italy vs Scotland Betting Tips
Check out our betting tips below for Saturday’s clash between Italy and Scotland.
Duhan van der Merwe to score the first try
How to stop van der Merwe will be top of Italy’s concerns on Saturday as the South African-born winger pursues Stuart Hogg’s Scottish try-scoring record despite having played only 37 Tests.
His hat trick against England moved him onto five tries for the tournament and he looks like a solid bet to bag the opening try in the Stadio Olimpico against an Italian side that historically has struggled out wide against Scotland.
Blair Kinghorn to score a try
Italy is a side that Scotland’s Blair Kinghorn loves playing against, the full-back has scored two hat tricks against the Azzurri since 2019.
Take the Toulouse player to add to that excellent scoring record in Rome on Saturday.

We look closer at the two lineups for Saturday’s clash in Rome.
