Darts Tips: World Championship Day 9 Friday Predictions & Odds

Itโs Friday night at the Palace and weโve got a stellar line-up of arrows to take you flying into the weekend.
Darts Tips: World Championship Day 9ย
Move over Luke Littler - Beau Greaves is the new name in town, and the 21-year-old star is the betting favourite to topple Daryl Gurney in what is guaranteed to be one of the standout fixtures across both sessions.
Elsewhere, weโre honing in on the exploits of Lourence Ilagen, Nathan Aspinall, Keane Barry and Tim Pusey.
Take a look at some of the best betting tips for Day 9 of the 2026 PDC World Darts Championship, courtesy of Free Bets.
Tip 1: Beau Greaves to beat Daryl Gurney at 4/6 with bet365
Two-time womenโs World Matchplay champion and this yearโs PDC World Youth Championship runner-up Beau Greaves is ready to make a splash in North London.
The 21-year-old has been winning tournament after tournament on the womenโs circuit for years and canโt be ruled out as a serious threat inside the Ally Pally.
Daryl Gurney is the first hurdle in her path โ a two-time quarter-finalist at the World Championship and the No. 22 seed coming into this yearโs tournament.
Gurney can be pretty divisive on the oche, and with 95% of the Ally Pally faithful behind Greaves weโre backing her to get over the line in this race to three sets.
Tip 2: Lourence Ilagen +2.5 sets handicap vs Nathan Aspinall at 5/6 with bet365
Lourence Ilagen is fast becoming part of the furniture at the World Championship. The Filipino has appeared in the last seven editions, but has only escaped the first round once (2023).
Nathan Aspinall looks on paper to be one of the sternest tests he has faced at this stage of the tournament, and itโs hard to see him navigating a way past the โAspโ as he attempts to build on his two semi-final appearances at the Ally Pally.
But Ilagen has scooped up nine sets over the last seven years and weโre backing him to grab at least one more on his throw against Aspinall.
The handicap market looks good as we lay the Aspinall whitewash.
Tip 3: Keane Barry vs Tim Pusey - Over 4.5 sets at 2/1 with Paddy Power
This looks like it has the potential to be one of the closest matches of the opening round.
Keane Barry has reached the second round on three of the last four editions of the Worlds, coming unstuck against some big names including Gerwyn Price, Michael van Gerwen and Jonny Clayton.
Pusey is making his debut here, but after an impressive winning run on the Australian Darts Association Tour, the 33-year-old could add his name to the list of successful debutants at this yearโs tournament.
Weโve not had a whole host of 3-2s over the past week, but this one looks to be a real contender.
