Grand Slam of Darts Tips: Quarter-Finals - Saturday Best Bets Day 8
Lewis Watson
Saturday serves us up another pair of quarter-finals at the Grand Slam of Darts — one featuring you know who…
Luke Littler’s defence of this trophy is going seamlessly so far, dropping just nine legs and racking up some predictably seismic averages.
Alongside “The Nuke” on the Wolverhampton oche will be World Cup winner Josh Rock, who himself will be looking to cap off a fabulous 2025.
But it’s Danny Noppert and Lukas Wenig who open the show, both in a race to 16 legs and a maiden semi-final at this tournament.
Let’s take a look at some of the best betting tips for day eight of the Grand Slam of Darts:
Grand Slam of Darts Tips: Quarter-Finals Day 8
There are two games taking place on Saturday night, and we've got two darts betting tips and predictions to give an interest in both matches.
Tip 1: Danny Noppert -6.5 handicap vs Lukas Wenig
At 6/4 with bet365, Danny Noppert was always a good pick to beat Michael van Gerwen.
“The Freeze” is turning into a real big-time player who saves his best stuff for the biggest occasions, and we’d be shocked if he didn’t reach the semi-finals here in style.
That’s not to say Lukas Wenig isn’t playing well this week. The German lost 5-4 to Noppert in the group stages but will have to average higher than 89 in this race to 16 legs.
Noppert has already reached semi-finals at the World Masters, Grand Prix, European Championships and World Cup of Darts this season — expect that run to continue as he goes deep in Wolverhampton.
2/1 with bet365 is a great price for Noppert to restrict Wenig to single-figures in legs scored.
Tip 2: Luke Littler: Match win, Most 180s and Highest Checkout vs Josh Rock
Luke Littler is flying in Wolverhampton, and appears to be finding some of his best form ahead of the World Championships this December.
He steamrolled the talented Wessel Nijman in the second round and has his eyes on punching the No.1 world ranking from Luke Humphries this week.
Josh Rock is up next for “The Nuke” — a player he has beaten on both occasions he has faced him.
“Rocky” is having a super 2025 having reached the semi-finals at the UK Open and World Matchplay — not to forget his World Cup of Darts victory — but you need more than a bit of good form to get past Littler in the long format matches.
Rock averaged just 90 as he squeezed past Connor Scutt 10-9 in the second round, underlining his soft belly in some of these high-pressured matches.
Littler shouldn’t have any problems sweeping past Rock on Saturday, posting some big numbers in the process.
