Dundee United vs Motherwell - Both teams to score
Dundee United are one of the most in-form teams in the Scottish Premiership and are unbeaten in their last five. Last time out they drew 2-2 at Celtic Park in an incredibly impressive performance where, on another night, they could have left with all three points.
Jim Goodwin has managed to do something that not many managers are able to in completely changing their style of play. Not only that, he’s managed something that is even more rare, doing it at the same club!
They are no longer a side that sit in a back three/five and look to frustrate opponents before hitting them on the break. Now, they press aggressively, have midfielders that can dictate the tempo of the game and have pace up top.
It’s been exciting to watch their development into this style and they are a team that many look forward to watching now.
Motherwell aren’t exactly having the season that they thought they might after last season's exploits. The loss of Jens Berthel Askou was always going to hit hard and he was going to be almost impossible to replace.
Alfred Johansson arrived seemingly in the mould of JBA having had a similar coaching path to the former Motherwell manager. He’s not had a too dissimilar difficult start though and the ‘Well currently sit in ninth having only won three whilst losing six of their opening twelve matches.
I think Motherwell have a better squad and players that their league position suggests but they need to put it all together, soon.
Last season’s Motherwell vs this Dundee United team would’ve been a brilliant matchup but I think this will still be an exciting one. I fancy both defences/goalkeepers to be busy!

Aberdeen vs Hibernian - Hibernian to win
Aberdeen are a really poor side and they proved that against Rangers last week. Despite only losing 1-0 they didn’t seem to have much of a plan apart from being hopeful about a counter attack. Going forward they lacked imagination and looked shaky at the back, an awful combination.
Hibs were excellent against Hearts last weekend in their 2-1 Semi-Final victory and despite Marink Reedijk still looking for his first league win, that will give his team a massive confidence boost. They have shown some signs that they can be a good side and seem to be getting used to their new manager's tactics.
I don’t see many positives for Aberdeen at the moment and fancy Hibs to take their confidence from beating Hearts at Hampden for the first time ever into this one.
St Mirren vs Rangers - Rangers to win
Rangers have scored twelve in their last five Premiership matches and after a bright start, Craig McLeish’s side have been falling rapidly down the table. Derek McInnes’ side are currently unbeaten in eleven matches but have drawn two of their last three in the league.
The draw away at Dens Park may concern fans but, in all honesty, a draw was stolen against Hearts last midweek. Despite having the second best away record in the league, Rangers have drawn three of those six matches this season.
Not only that, there have been some concerning signs in the last two matches with a lack of creativity bemoaned by fans.
St. Mirren looked to be setting themselves up to be this season's Motherwell with their early form but they lost five in a row before beating Dundee a couple of weeks ago but then followed that up with a draw at home to Hibs and a defeat at Fir Park last weekend.
They have also only won two of six home games this season and Rangers will be looking to get their away form back on track.
I think Rangers will reduce the gap at the top to one point on Saturday evening.
Greenock Morton vs Stenhousemuir - Stenhousemuir to win
Greenock Morton are a team in disaster off of the pitch but, in recent weeks, they have been flying on the pitch! Since Michael O’Halloran replaced Ian Murray, they have won three in a row. They have not only scored seven in the last three but beat title favourites Partick Thistle last time out, they went 1-0 then 2-1 down before turning it round to win 3-2 at Firhill.
Stenhousemuir were top of the league until recently but are on a terrible run. They have drawn one and lost four of the last five. They have had a tough run though, losing the last three to Partick Thistle, Dunfermline and Livingston, three teams expected to be challenging for promotion.
I’m predicting a Stenny victory here because I believe they can turn it around. After a tough run and three games in six days, they have had an eight day rest before this one.
I also don’t think Morton’s squad can maintain the run they’ve been on, I’m expecting a losing and winning run to end in this one!
Inverness vs Livingston - Both teams to score
After back to back losses, Livingston picked up a decent away point at Dunfermline before beating Arbroath 1-0 and hammering Stenny 3-0 at Ochilview last Friday evening.
Inverness can’t seem to put anything together for more than a couple of games, after beating Stenny, they lost to bottom of the league Queen’s Park. Then it was back to back 2-0 wins against Arbroath and Raith respectively before getting hammered 5-1 by Dunfermline.
Currently these sides sit sixth and fifth in the league and will be looking to push into the Play-Off places and a victory on Saturday could really accelerate that push.
Inverness have the joint best defensive home record, only conceding three in six, whilst only Inverness have scored more away goals than Livingston.
A tight game but with the form of Alfie's Bavidge and Stewart for Inverness and Robbie Muirhead for Livingston, it will be a struggle for either to keep a clean sheet.
