Sports betting continues to accelerate at an incredible rate in the UK, and one of the latest sites to burst onto the scene is Betmaze.
AG Communications Limited, a Malta-based company, owns Betmaze. Those familiar with their betting products can draw parallels with this site and other operators in the AG portfolio of brands, such as Bzeebet, in terms of presentation and output.
By the same token, Betmaze has been inspired by other sites with a casino arm to their operation, most notably Mr.Play. But Betmaze has the upper hand, at least based on the strength of its welcome bonus.

User Experience - My Personal View
Despite its dark brooding appearance like sister site Bzeebet, it was quite seamless to move between sections at Betmaze, and there was nothing overelaborate. Flashes of yellow denote key selling points, such as the Price Boosts, and these fare well alongside nimble and more experienced operators, such as Paddy Power and bet365.
One of the first things that caught my eye was the menu bar slider to adjust time frames for different events. This was drilled down into competitions over 24 hours or the next three days, and while a simple idea, it is effective. Indeed, the menu bar is quite intuitive, and this site is compatible across desktop and mobile.
I didn't encounter any slowdown issues, but error message popped up in some sections. You have to be a registered account holder to access certain parts of the site, such as the cashier page, but that is just a minor grumble.
Betmaze was quite speedy, and there wasn't much difference between the desktop and mobile counterparts in terms of features. The only difference was Betmaze uses HTML5 technology and the mobile version is conducive for smaller screens.
With the features, 1-Click Betting is appreciated. It is Betmaze's answer to the Bet Mentor feature found at Quick Bet. The premise of this is to pick a betting stake or default amount, and you can accept higher or lower odds, granting you more control over your wagers.
Favourites also get attention, and you can create a list with tabbed bets, so you can return to them at a later date if there is a particular market you wish to revisit. This is always an attractive element of any given sports betting site where some punters don't like to be rushed into placing a wager.
Meanwhile, the price boosts are competitive, especially when placed alongside the likes of Paddy Power and Betfair. For some markets, I saw the odds raised from 29/10 to 31/10, and after all, sports bettors want to extract more profit from lines with longer prices. Better still, you can see which price boosts have piqued the interest of punters as they will be highlighted in red with the word 'Popular'.
One drawback of Betmaze was not having a blog. Sites with a running blog covering the latest betting news and tips deserve kudos as bettors want the latest insights, so they can make an informed decision before settling on their picks.
I also think the site falls slightly short without a live streaming. Well, there are streams available for horse racing, that's about it, and to gain more traction like bet365 and BetVictor, it needs to extends this to more sports.
Mobile Betting Experience
The mobile aspect of the site is equally well signposted as the desktop platform, however, there is one glaring oversight. Yes, Betmaze doesn't have a mobile app which was hugely disappointing as apps are ubiquitous at top operators, catering to the whims of bettors.
That said, the mobile platform is smooth, and in play betting comes into its own. Live betting adds an extra layer of excitement to the betting experience and Betmaze typically offers at least 60 in play markets for football games.
I could place bets on anything from Double Chance through to Full-Time result, and while there is a basic graphic at the top highlighting yellow or red cards distributed, it wasn't as impressive as LiveScoreBet which is more comprehensive for stat breakdowns. Also, some sports don't get as much traction for in play which is something that should be addressed.
As you might expect, there is a Cash Out function on the desktop or mobile site. I found this just as seamless as other top operators such as William Hill, and all eligible bets will be denoted with a small green dollar button.
While the mobile site is user-friendly, I think it would have been nice to have a small stats pack leading up to each game. Currently, this is only available during in play, but even having a small graphic like BetMGM does when it illustrates win probability and past encounters before matches would suffice.
I also believe having quick links for major leagues would have been much appreciated to make the mobile product a bit more user-friendly. easyBet, for example, does this well, and it is slightly easier than scrolling up and down the site to look for preferred markets.

A trump card for Betmaze, punters have over 40 sports to wager on which is almost unheard of, surpassing many of its rivals. Whether you are into football or niche sports like cycling, you will be spoiled.
Singles, multiples, and combos are dished up, but I was struck by the number of antepost markets posted. Take NFL betting, for example, there were plenty of outrights to sink your teeth into, including NFL regular season MVP and Coach of the Year, along with some tasty odds.
Okay, it's worth pointing out that the betting odds are decent, if not spectacular. Generally speaking, the payout margin is smaller at Betmaze compared to other top-notch bookies, but don't let that deter you.
The live betting area is a hub of activity, but I think the bet builders are a core strength of the site. For football betting, there is plenty of scope, and you just need to input a minimum of 2 selections.
With the Club World Cup Final clash between Chelsea and PSG, you can bet on BTTS or method of goal scored, and the betting slip was intuitive. Compared to BetVictor and Paddy Power, Betmaze shines in this department, and it makes the most of things.
My only complaint across the board with betting markets was the lack of flash markets.
Having micro markets, naturally, adds a level of intrigue, especially for football when punters like to take a shorter view on key moments happening in the next five or 10 minutes of a game, and this is something that could be addressed in the future.

Nevertheless, I was a little disheartened that there weren't horse racing deals factored into the equation such as Best Odds Guaranteed or Beaten by a Nose that would have given the site a bit more credit. Something I think should be considered in the future.
