However, BetTom is more than just a horse racing site. There is a smorgasbord of sports available at this family-owned betting company, but it has a way to go to catch up to the likes of other family betting behemoths such as bet365.
BetTom became the latest UK bookmaker to collaborate with EveryMatrix, offering advanced turnkey data-driven solutions to power its betting and casino platforms. This multi-year deal is eye-catching, but BetTom has followed in the footsteps of other reputable betting brands that have worked with EveryMatrix, including BetVictor, bet365, and Betano, so that augurs well for its prospects.
Fully regulated by the UK Gambling Commission (UKGC), BetTom is a legit sports betting operator, and it has been propped up with tailored security measures to protect players online. However, there was no mention of which security protocols Bet Tom adheres to, although we imagine it utilizes the latest 128-bit SSL technology.

User Experience - My Personal View
My first impressions of BetTom were largely positive. This new betting site may scream 1990s vibes with its blue, white and red design scheme which depicts the BetTom logo. It echoes memories of BoyleSports before the site was revamped to make it more modern.
I could load pages quickly and it was easy to navigate my way to all areas of the sports betting site. Speed is critical, and BetTom passes the test with flying colours compared to other new operators like easyBet and talkSPORT that also offer a smooth UX for players.

Instead, there is a full results page covering all sporting results of the day, which I suppose is better that nothing. You can filter this between sports which is worth noting, but the example offered below covers football betting.
Best Odds Guaranteed is the bread and butter of renowned sites, such as Coral and Betfred, and BetTom is sorted here, but it has overlooked plenty of other classic features. For example, Early Payouts would have beefed things up to give punters something to sink their teeth, given BetVictor and bet365 have 1Up or 2Up offers in their lockers.
I think BetTom will lament not having price boosts as the likes of Paddy Power and Kwiff have used this to great effect to give punters a chance to extract more value from their bet at longer odds. Oh, and there were no enhanced accas offered either for the Premier League which I believe would elevate this site to another level. There is plenty of food for thought for the developers here.
Mobile Betting Experience
Any bookie worth its salt aims to have one of the best betting apps. BetTom doesn't disappoint with a fully functioning app that can be downloaded via the Google Play or iOS store. After conducting various tests, the app stood the test and it was seamless to use. Just like the mobile site, site navigation was smooth and I was impressed with the sign-up process which was swift and stress-free.
One of the things that stood out was the quality of the in-play product, with a raft of lines served up per event. For example, with tennis betting, there were usually 30+ markets posted offering great variety, taking into account Correct Score and the handicap.
Placing a wager was simple, and I liked the visualization tab which was similar to Virgin Bet. It was immersive and detailed for sharing stats for live betting, such as player tournament progress, head-to-head, and match flashpoints. The only thing I would have preferred was to have the stats tab placed more prominently in the centre of the app, but maybe that's me being pernickety.
Disappointingly, live streaming was restrictive. Currently, BetTom only offers live streaming for UK and Irish racing meets and greyhounds, but it would have been nice to see the live streaming service expanded to other sports. This is a blot on the copybook as mobile users want to watch events as and when they please, so it should take a lead out of bet365's book.
That said, cash out is fully functional across mobile and desktop devices, and BetTom users can cash out seamlessly. I couldn't track down any Google Play or iOS ratings online; however, it has averaged 3.6 stars out of 5 from 150 Trustpilot reviews. Players liked the user-friendly nature of the product and the markets available, which was pleasing to hear.
However, I was concerned that there wasn't a designated FAQs area, so I had to scroll through the Terms and Conditions to track down points on the withdrawal process or compiling a bet builder. This was a bit annoying as most sites are deluged with questions, and some punters prefer to locate pain points in the FAQs area rather than speak to an agent.
Also, the promotions and betting offers section on the mobile app just displayed the welcome offer, whereas on the desktop site, this included every available deal, so this is something that should be addressed moving forward.

Yes, the biggest CS:GO and Dota 2 tournaments are advertised with map and handicap lines, so punters aren't stuck for choice.
Bet builders are also dished up. There were around 300 lines available per Premier League match, and while you can unlock featured bet builders, creating your own bet builder was eminently more exciting, with lines such as anytime scorer, highest scoring halves, and more to feast on. The odds generally speaking hit the sweet spot, but they weren't outstanding. Oh, and the fast markets covered virtually every minute of the game which was appetising for those who wish to make quick-fire decisions on flash English Premier League markets, but these weren't found at BetGoodwin.
The live betting aspect is promising, but the live streaming product was a bit light. Other than that, I would liked to have seen a blog with news and insights. As things stand, there are just 101-style reviews discussing how to bet on sports, including horse racing and football. Other betting operators such as talKSPORT and BetVictor have a rolling blog, so punters can keep on top of the latest news and views, so they are armed with key information before placing a wager.

BetTom offers a few different promotions, but there appears to be a separate promotional scheme for the app and mobile website.
