Tottenham Relegation Odds: After 3-0 Forest Defeat - Are Spurs Going Down?

Updated: March 22, 2026 at 7:42 pm GMT+0

Tottenham's season has reached its darkest point.

A humiliating 3-0 home defeat to Nottingham Forest on Sunday has left Spurs sitting just one point and one place above the relegation zone - and the London club are now appearing prominently in the Premier League relegation markets at the top betting sites as punters seek out Tottenham relegation odds.

It is no exaggeration to say this is a crisis.

Tottenham are the only side without a Premier League win so far in 2026, drawing five and losing eight of their 13 games this calendar year.

In their entire top-flight history, only from December 1934 to April 1935 have they ever gone longer without winning - a run that ended in relegation.

Will Tottenham be relegated?

How serious Is the situation?

Very serious. Based on three points for a win, this defeat sees Tottenham equal their lowest points tally after 31 games of a league season, level with the 1914-15 campaign, which ended in relegation to the second tier.

Leeds United sit in 15th spot, three points ahead of Spurs and four clear of the drop.

Notably, two of the bottom four clubs are in the best form - West Ham have earned the 12th-most points in the division since New Year's Day, while Wolves are 13th in the form table.

Conversely, Spurs are the only Premier League club yet to win in 2026.

Igor Tudor's position looks increasingly untenable.

The Croatian has led Spurs into deeper trouble since his appointment as interim manager on February 14, winning the fewest points of any Premier League club across his five-game tenure.

With three weeks until their next league game - a trip to Sunderland on April 12 - he might not get a chance to take charge of a sixth.

Can Spurs Still Survive?

Mathematically, yes. There are 21 points still to play for, and a points cushion - however slim - still exists. But the evidence is becoming harder to ignore.

Tottenham remain the only team in the league yet to win in 2026, having lost seven and drawn five of their 13 games.

Only three teams in Premier League history have endured longer winless starts to a calendar year - and all three were relegated.

The injury situation has been brutal all season. Bissouma, Davies, Kulusevski, Bentancur, and Palhinha have all missed significant time.

But even allowing for that, the performances under Tudor have not suggested a side capable of picking up the seven or eight points likely needed to secure safety.

Wolves' hopes of a sensational fightback are boosted by their remaining fixtures - based on current standings, four of their last seven games are against fellow bottom-six sides.

That means points elsewhere in the basement could come thick and fast, leaving Spurs with no margin for further slip-ups.

The international break provides a brief pause, but when Premier League action resumes on 12 April, Tottenham will need to find a win quickly - or the betting markets will shorten still further.
