Darts Tips: World Championship Round 4 Tuesday Predictions & Odds

Round four got underway late last night, with Luke Littler edging past Rob Cross, who had the Alexandra Palace crowd firmly behind him.
Darts Tips: World Championship Round 4ย
There are six more last-16 ties still to be played on Tuesday, and here on Free Bets we have bets lined up for all three matches in the evening session.
Tip 1: Gian van Veen to beat Charlie Manby 4-1 at 5/2 with Betfred
Gian van Veen has reached the last 16 of the World Championship for the first time, and while the pressure naturally increases from this stage, he can take reassurance from his opponentโs lack of experience. Charlie Manby is completely new to this level and is still learning how to manage these occasions.
This looks set to be a quick, high-scoring contest, with both players happy playing at pace. Manbyโs victory over Ricky Evans was his best showing yet at Alexandra Palace, highlighted by 11 maximums. However, missing 41 darts at double is a major concern.
That level of finishing will be punished here. Van Veen holds the edge in all departments and should progress. Manby can still win legs through scoring bursts, and therefore a 4-1 win for the favourite appeals at the price.
Tip 2: Michael van Gerwen vs Gary Anderson Over 6.5 Sets at 9/4 with bet365
The standout tie of the evening sees old rivals and multiple-time world champions Michael van Gerwen and Gary Anderson go head-to-head, with both arriving off the back of excellent performances.
Van Gerwen eased past Arno Merk without ever needing to move beyond third gear, still producing a 99 average and firing in nine 180s. That followed a composed display against William O'Connor, a match that had been widely earmarked as a potential upset.
Anderson may not have featured heavily on television this year, but he has been one of the most impressive performers at Alexandra Palace. The Flying Scotsman averaged 105 against Connor Scutt and backed that up with a 102 average in a gripping seven-set win over Jermaine Wattimena.
Seven sets looks very possible again. Anderson has shown the higher peak level across his last two matches, though a slight regression would not surprise, while Van Gerwen can be trusted to sit around the 100 average mark. With the bookies unable to split them, over 6.5 sets is the way to go.
Tip 3: Luke Humphries and Kevin Doets to hit Over 5.5 180s Each at 20/23
Kevin Doets showed excellent character to come from behind against Nathan Aspinall, improving as the match went on to see off the crowd favourite. He has looked at ease throughout the tournament and continues to show he is comfortable on the big stage. That was also evident last year at Alexandra Palace, where he defeated Michael Smith.
This is another step up in class against Luke Humphries, but there is little reason to expect a drop in Doetsโ performance levels. His scoring holds up well, and he should win enough legs to give the pair time to hit half a dozen maximums apiece. Doets hit 11 against Aspinall, and while this may not run as long, six 180s is certainly achievable.
