Today's Acca Tips

PSG to beat Chelsea

The reigning Champions League holders, Paris Saint-Germain, enter this last-16 first leg with the pedigree and home advantage necessary to secure a vital lead. While Les Parisiens have experienced some domestic inconsistency, they have a formidable recent record against English opposition, winning five of their last eight such encounters. Luis Enrique's side have shown immense resilience in Europe, notably overcoming Monaco in a high-pressure playoff to reach this stage. With Ousmane Dembele and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia providing elite horizontal threat and individual brilliance, they are well-equipped to exploit a Chelsea defense that has conceded nine goals across four European away trips this season. Despite the tactical improvements under Liam Rosenior, the atmospheric pressure of the Parc des Princes and PSG’s knockout experience should see the hosts prevail on Wednesday night.

Bayer Leverkusen vs Arsenal - Draw

Bayer Leverkusen have built a formidable reputation at the BayArena, entering this Champions League last-16 clash on a six-match unbeaten home streak. During this impressive run, the German side have conceded just a single goal in over five hundred minutes of football, showcasing a defensive resilience that could frustrate even the most clinical opponents. While Arsenal dominated the league phase with eight consecutive victories, the potential absence of defensive lynchpin William Saliba and the influential Martin Odegaard may blunt their usual dominance. Mikel Arteta’s men have shown a tendency to navigate difficult away legs with a pragmatic approach, often prioritizing structure over expansive risks. Given Leverkusen’s ability to shut down high-caliber attacks at home and Arsenal’s recent run of tight, competitive fixtures, a hard-fought draw appears a highly likely outcome for this first-leg encounter.

Real Madrid vs Manchester City - Manchester City to Win

Manchester City arrive at the Santiago Bernabeu as significant favorites to take a first-leg advantage back to the Etihad. Pep Guardiola’s side have found a devastating rhythm, winning nine and drawing two of their last 11 matches across all competitions. This superior form coincides with a massive injury crisis for Real Madrid, who are expected to be without talismanic figures Kylian Mbappe and Jude Bellingham, as well as defensive leader Eder Militao. While the Spanish giants have an incredible European pedigree, they have already lost three times in the Champions League this season and struggled defensively, failing to keep a clean sheet in their last 11 meetings with City. With a refreshed Erling Haaland leading the line, the Citizens possess the tactical structure and clinical edge to exploit a depleted Madrid backline.

Coventry City to Win to Nil vs Preston North End

Championship leaders Coventry City look primed to extend their winning streak to six matches when they host a struggling Preston North End side. Frank Lampard's men have righted the ship after a mid-season slump and currently boast the best home record in the division. The Sky Blues have been remarkably disciplined, even managing a clean sheet while playing with ten men for over half the match against Bristol City last weekend. In contrast, Preston have seen their promotion dreams evaporate following a dismal run of just one win in ten league games. The Lilywhites have failed to score in six of their last eleven matches across all competitions, highlighting a severe lack of offensive spark. Given Coventry's defensive solidity and Preston's toothless attack, a home victory paired with a clean sheet is the standout selection for this clash.

Today's Both Teams To Score Tips

Real Madrid vs Manchester City - BTTS Yes

History suggests that a goalless encounter between these two titans is almost impossible. Both teams have found the net in ten of their last eleven meetings, and Real Madrid have managed to score in twelve consecutive home European fixtures. Despite the absence of Mbappe, the individual brilliance of Vinicius Junior on the left flank ensures that Los Blancos remain a constant threat in transition. However, Real Madrid are statistically weak at stopping opponents from creating chances, a dangerous trait against a City side averaging over two goals per game. With City also showing a tendency to concede in high-pressure away legs, the tactical overlap points toward a high-octane affair where both attacking units find joy. Expect the trend of high-scoring, competitive clashes between these two sides to continue in the Spanish capital.

PSG vs Chelsea - BTTS Yes

Goals are almost a guarantee when these two attack-minded heavyweights collide, especially given their recent statistical profiles. Paris Saint-Germain have never been involved in a goalless draw in the Champions League knockout phase, a streak spanning fifty-eight matches. Both teams averaged over two goals per game during the league phase, and both have shown significant defensive vulnerabilities lately; Chelsea have seen at least four goals scored in five of their last seven outings, while PSG have also struggled for clean sheets in Europe. With Cole Palmer and the in-form Joao Pedro leading a potent Blues attack that recently put four past Aston Villa, the visitors possess the quality to breach the holders' backline. Expect a high-octane affair where the offensive talent on both sides comfortably outweighs the defensive organization.

Bodo/Glimt vs Sporting Lisbon - BTTS Yes

The electric atmosphere at Aspmyra Stadion typically produces high-scoring affairs, and this Champions League knockout clash should follow that trend. Bodo/Glimt have established themselves as BTTS specialists in this competition, with ten of their last eleven European outings seeing goals at both ends. While the Norwegian side have famously defeated heavyweights like Manchester City and Inter Milan recently, they have yet to keep a clean sheet in the main draw this season. Sporting Lisbon arrive in prolific form, led by the clinical Luis Suarez, and have scored in each of their last twelve matches across all competitions. Given Glimt’s aggressive home approach and Sporting’s attacking quality, a goal for both sides appears highly probable on Wednesday night.

Oxford United vs Blackburn Rovers - BTTS Yes

Relegation-threatened Oxford United and Blackburn Rovers collide in a pivotal clash where goals at both ends look highly likely. Both teams have identical scoring records this season, each netting thirty-four goals in thirty-six Championship matches. Oxford have found a new lease of life under Matt Bloomfield, scoring five goals in their last two victories, yet they remain defensively fragile and have conceded in five of their last six outings. Blackburn Rovers possess a significant aerial advantage and high shot volume, averaging 11.7 attempts per game, which specifically targets Oxford’s documented weakness in defending set pieces and crosses. Given the high-pressure nature of this survival battle and the defensive inconsistencies shared by both clubs, a clean sheet for either side appears improbable on Wednesday night.

Today's Bet Builder Tips

Manchester City win

Real Madrid have lost in back-to-back La Liga matches for the first time in October 2018, so despite the initial bounce under Alvaro Arbeloa, things aren't going totally smoothly in Madrid.

They edged past Benfica in the qualifying knockout round and while it is usually this time of the season that they kick into gear, it looks like a tall order against a familiar opponent.

Manchester City are in good form, unbeaten in 11 matches and winning nine of those.

Most significantly however in my opinion, is the absence of Kylian Mbappe to a knee injury. With Jude Bellingham also injured, Madrid are short of two of their most creative players and I think this will have a huge bearing on the result.

Manchester City to score in both halves

The stats tell us that City strike first in the majority of matches they play in - 23 out of 29 in the Premier League this season - so for a home side a bit short on confidence, they will come our firing.

And in the Champions League that's a familiar tale, scoring 10 first-half goals and only five after the break.

I can see them going for the kill here however. If they have a goal advantage, I think they will want to get a bit of breathing space going into the second leg so none of the injured players have time to make a return.

BTTS in second half

I'm looking at the numbers again with this one in mind, and I do fancy both teams to score over the course of the match.

Even without Bellingham, Mbappe and Rodrygo, there is too much attacking talent available to Real to go goalless.

And significantly, 74% of all goals City have conceded in the league have come in the second half.

It will be interesting to see if there are any obvious reasons for this, but Real have also scored 58% of their Champions League goals in the second half, so they should be able to finish the game strongly - although a lot of that will depend on the quality of their bench.

Today's Anytime Goalscorer Tips

Kasper Hogh to Score Anytime

Kasper Hogh has emerged as the spearhead of Bodo/Glimt’s remarkable Champions League campaign, proving to be a nightmare for elite European defenses. The powerful striker has been in exceptional form during the knockout stages, netting four goals in his last four appearances in this competition, including vital strikes against Inter Milan in the playoffs. Hogh has demonstrated a particular affinity for the artificial surface at Aspmyra, finding the back of the net in each of Glimt’s last two home continental fixtures. With the creative support of Jens Petter Hauge and Ole Didrik Blomberg, Hogh is expected to receive high-quality service against a Sporting backline that recently conceded twice against Braga.

Antoine Semenyo to Score Anytime

Antoine Semenyo has been a revelation since joining Manchester City, and he looks like a prime candidate to punish Real Madrid’s makeshift defense. The forward has been in sensational form, netting seven goals in just eleven appearances for the Citizens, proving himself to be a clinical finisher in Pep Guardiola’s system. Semenyo’s explosive pace and directness make him the perfect weapon to exploit Madrid’s weaknesses in transition, especially with the hosts missing key defenders like Eder Militao. Given that Manchester City created eight shots on target in their previous meeting at the Bernabeu, Semenyo is likely to get great passes from the likes of Bernardo Silva and Phil Foden. His current momentum and confidence make him a standout choice to get on the scoresheet during Wednesday’s heavyweight clash.

Types of Football Tips We Cover Daily

We cover every major betting market you can think of, and then some. Our daily football tips span multiple bet types, leagues, and competitions, so whether you're a casual weekend punter or someone who bets on midweek fixtures, there's always something for you.

Here's a breakdown of the main types of football betting tips we provide, what they mean, and why they're worth your attention.

Both Teams to Score Tips (BTTS)

Both Teams to Score tips are one of the most popular football betting markets, and for good reason – they're exciting and often offer decent value. When we back BTTS, we're predicting that both teams will find the net at least once during the match.

Our BTTS football tips focus on games where both sides have strong attacking records but leaky defences. We'll look at recent form, goals scored and conceded, head-to-head stats, and even factors like team motivation (a mid-table clash often sees more open play than a relegation six-pointer).

In the 2024/25 Premier League season, around 52% of matches saw both teams score, while in leagues like the Bundesliga that figure climbs to nearly 58%. We use these stats to identify the best BTTS opportunities and regularly combine them into BTTS accumulators for bigger returns.

Check out our daily BTTS tips for tonight's best picks.

Goalscorer Football Tips

Goalscorer betting is all about predicting which players will find the back of the net. Our anytime goalscorer football tips are posted every weekend, focusing on in-form strikers and attacking midfielders who are likely to get on the scoresheet.

We don't just pick the obvious names like Erling Haaland or Mohamed Salah every week (though they're often worth backing). We dig deeper to find value – players on penalty duty, forwards facing weak defences, or wingers who've scored in three of their last four games. The key is finding the right balance between probability and odds.

For example, a striker priced at 2/1 to score anytime might seem short, but if he's scored in 60% of his home games this season and is facing a defence that's conceded in eight straight matches, that's value. Our goalscorer tips explain exactly why we're backing each player.

Want this week's best picks? Head to our anytime goalscorer tips page.

Accumulator Football Tips

Accumulators (or accas) are the bread and butter of football betting. Our daily accumulator football tips combine multiple selections into one bet for enhanced odds – a four-fold acca might return 10/1 or 15/1 depending on the odds of each selection.

The beauty of football accas is that you can turn a small stake into a significant return. A £10 bet at 13/1 returns £130 if all your picks come in. The challenge, of course, is getting every leg right, which is why our tipsters focus on well-researched selections rather than just lumping together random favourites.

Our acca of the day typically features 3-5 selections from the same evening's fixtures, often targeting home wins for strong teams, or specific markets like both teams to score. We'll also give you the reasoning behind each pick so you can decide if you agree with our logic.

Get today's best accumulator at our acca tips page.

Bet Builder Football Betting Tips

Bet builders have exploded in popularity over the last few years, and our bet builder football tips take full advantage of this flexible market. A bet builder lets you combine multiple outcomes from the same match – for example, Porto to win, over 2.5 goals, and a specific player to be booked.

What makes bet builders so appealing is the control they give you. Rather than betting on a single outcome, you can craft a bet that reflects exactly how you think a game will play out. Our bet builder tips do exactly that – we analyse the match and pick 3-5 selections that complement each other.

For instance, if we're backing a dominant home team to win, we might also add "opposition striker to be carded" (because they'll be frustrated) and "over 1.5 home goals" (because the home side scores plenty). It's about building a cohesive narrative for how the match unfolds.

Check out our daily bet builder tips for tonight's best combinations.

Card Betting Football Tips

Card betting tips are a relatively niche market but offer excellent value if you know what you're looking for. We focus on players with poor disciplinary records, aggressive playing styles, or those facing referees who are quick to reach for the yellow card.

For example, a defensive midfielder who averages 2.3 fouls per game and has picked up four yellows in his last six matches is a strong card bet, especially if he's facing a tricky winger or playing in a high-stakes derby. We also consider the referee – some officials average 4+ cards per game, while others are far more lenient.

Our card betting accumulators combine 3-4 players across different matches, often returning odds of 30/1 or higher. It's not a market for everyone, but if you enjoy a bit of research and like longer-odds bets, it's well worth exploring.

See today's picks at our card betting tips page.

EFL Betting Tips

The English Football League (Championship, League One, League Two) is a goldmine for football betting tips. Our EFL expert Gab Sutton has a fantastic track record across these divisions, and his knowledge of lower-league football is second to none.

The EFL offers better value than the Premier League because bookmakers don't price these markets as sharply. You'll often find generous odds on teams that, statistically, should be much shorter. Gab's EFL football tips cover everything from Championship promotion battles to League Two relegation scraps, and he's always looking beyond the obvious.

Whether it's a midweek acca or a Saturday accumulator, Gab's EFL tips are a must-read for anyone serious about football betting.

Read Gab's latest picks at our EFL tips page.

Beyond the big-name markets, there are loads of other ways to bet on football. We cover these markets regularly in our match previews and detailed analysis, giving you even more options to find value.

Here's a rundown of some popular football betting tips markets you might not have tried yet.

Correct Score Football Tips

Correct score betting is high-risk, high-reward. Predicting the exact final score of a match is tough, but when you get it right, the returns can be massive. A correct score of 2-1 might be priced at 8/1, while something less common like 3-2 could be 25/1 or more.

Our correct score football tips focus on matches where we have a strong read on how the game will play out. If a team consistently wins 2-0 at home and their opponent struggles to score away, that's a correct score bet worth considering. We also look at leagues with predictable scoring patterns – Serie A, for example, often produces low-scoring 1-0 or 2-1 results.

The key to correct score betting is to stake sensibly. Don't expect to land these bets every week, but when you do, they can more than make up for the losses. Always consider backing 2-3 different scorelines to increase your chances.

First Goalscorer Football Tips

First goalscorer betting is similar to anytime goalscorer tips, but the odds are better because you're predicting who'll score first, not just at any point in the game. The challenge is that your player needs to get on the scoresheet before anyone else does.

Our first goalscorer football tips target players who typically score early – penalty takers, set-piece specialists, or forwards who start fast. We also look at teams that tend to score early goals. If a side has netted in the first 20 minutes in six of their last eight games, their striker becomes a strong first goalscorer candidate.

First goalscorer bets often return odds of 5/1 to 10/1, even for decent players, so there's real value here. Just remember that if your player scores but someone else gets there first, you lose – unlike anytime goalscorer bets where timing doesn't matter.

Over/Under Goals Football Tips

Over/under goals betting (also called total goals) is one of the simplest football betting markets. You're predicting whether a match will have more or fewer than a set number of goals – usually 2.5, though you'll also see 1.5, 3.5, and other lines.

Our over/under football tips focus on team form and style. Some teams play high-tempo, end-to-end football that regularly produces 3+ goals (think Bundesliga sides or certain Premier League teams). Others grind out 1-0 wins or 0-0 draws week after week.

In the 2024/25 season, around 51% of Premier League games went over 2.5 goals, while the Championship saw closer to 48%. These percentages vary by league, which is why we tailor our over/under tips to the specific competition and teams involved.

Weather, injuries, and motivation also play a role. A must-win game between two attacking teams? Over 2.5 goals is often a strong bet. A relegation six-pointer between defensive sides? Under 2.5 might be the smarter play.

Half-Time/Full-Time Football Tips

Half-time/full-time betting involves predicting the result at both half-time and full-time. For example, you might back "Home/Home" (home team leading at HT and FT) or "Draw/Away" (level at HT, away win at FT).

This market offers higher odds because you're predicting two outcomes, but it requires careful analysis. Our HT/FT football tips focus on teams with consistent patterns – for instance, a side that tends to start fast and protect leads would be a "Home/Home" candidate, while a team known for slow starts but strong finishes might suit "Draw/Home."

The most popular bets are Home/Home and Away/Away for dominant teams, but there's value in backing Draw/Home or Draw/Away if you think a team will grow into the game. Just avoid backing contradictory outcomes like "Away/Home" unless there's a very specific reason (like late collapses).

Asian Handicap Football Tips

Asian handicap betting removes the draw by giving one team a virtual head start or deficit. For example, if you back Manchester City -1.5, they need to win by two or more goals. If you back the underdog +1.5, they can lose by one goal and you still win.

While we don't post Asian handicap football tips every week, we'll highlight them when there's clear value. This market is ideal for matches with a strong favourite where the standard win odds are too short. If City are 1/4 to beat a relegation candidate, backing them -1.5 at evens might offer better value.

The beauty of Asian handicaps is the variety – you'll see -0.5, -1, -1.5, -2, and even split handicaps like -0.75. It's worth getting familiar with how these work, as they can provide much better odds than traditional markets.

Double Chance Football Tips

Double chance betting lets you cover two of the three possible outcomes in one bet. You can back Home Win or Draw, Away Win or Draw, or Home Win or Away Win (this last one is basically "either team to win").

Our double chance football tips appear occasionally when we see value, especially in tight matches or when backing underdogs. If you fancy a mid-table team to avoid defeat against a top-six side, "Draw or Away Win" at around evens might be smarter than backing the away win alone at 3/1.

The odds are naturally shorter than single-outcome bets, but the trade-off is higher win probability. Double chance is perfect for cautious punters or for including a "safer" leg in an accumulator.

Clean Sheet Football Tips

Clean sheet betting is straightforward – you're backing a team to keep the opposition from scoring. Our clean sheet football tips focus on defensively solid teams facing weak attacks.

If a team has kept five clean sheets in their last seven home games and they're facing a side that's failed to score in four of their last six away matches, that's a clean sheet bet worth considering. We also look at defensive records, goalkeeper form, and whether key attacking players are injured for the opposition.

Clean sheet bets often return odds of around evens to 6/4, depending on the teams involved. They work well when combined with other markets – for example, "Home Win and Home Clean Sheet" or "Over 1.5 Home Goals and Away Clean Sheet."

Goal Method Football Tips

Goal method betting involves predicting how goals will be scored – from open play, penalties, free kicks, headers, own goals, and so on. It's a niche market, but when we spot an angle, we'll share it.

For instance, if a team has scored from set pieces in six of their last eight games and they're facing a side weak at defending corners, "Goal from a Header" becomes attractive. Or if a striker is on penalties and has won two spot-kicks in his last three games, "Goal from a Penalty" might be worth a small stake.

Our goal method football tips won't be daily, but keep an eye out for them in our detailed match previews when we see value.

  • Favourites win rate: 50%
  • Both teams to score: 49%
  • Over 2.5 goals: 47%
  • Average goals per game: 2.67

Championship:

  • Favourites win rate: 44%
  • Both teams to score: 51%
  • Over 2.5 goals: 48%
  • Average goals per game: 2.63

As you can see, the Bundesliga is the most goal-heavy league, making it ideal for over 2.5 goals bets and BTTS accumulators. Serie A, on the other hand, is tighter and lower-scoring, so under 2.5 goals and clean sheet bets often offer better value there.

The Championship is particularly interesting for value hunters – favourites only win 44% of the time, which means upsets are common and underdog bets can pay off more often than in the Premier League.

We post accumulators, bet builders, BTTS tips, and goalscorer picks for competitions like the Premier League, Champions League, and Europa League. Check the top of this page for today's featured tips, including our acca of the day and bet builder of the day.
Are free football betting tips reliable?
Yes, when they come from experienced tipsters who provide clear reasoning for their selections. Our football betting tips are written by professionals like Vedran Ostojic, Will Jackson, and Gab Sutton, who analyse form, stats, and team news before posting picks. We always explain why we're backing each bet, so you can judge the logic for yourself. No tipster wins every bet, but transparency and research are what make tips reliable.
How do I pick a winning football bet?
Start by researching team form, head-to-head records, injury news, and recent results. Look for value – a bet where the odds offered are higher than the actual probability of the outcome. For example, if a team should win 60% of the time but the odds imply only a 50% chance, that's value. Our football tips do this research for you, but it's always smart to double-check team news before placing your bet.
What is the most popular football betting market?
The most popular football betting market is the match result (1X2), where you back a home win, draw, or away win. However, markets like both teams to score, over/under 2.5 goals, and accumulators are also hugely popular because they offer better odds and excitement. Our football tips cover all these markets daily.
Can you make money from football betting tips?
Yes, but it requires discipline, bankroll management, and realistic expectations. The most successful bettors treat it as a long-term investment, not a get-rich-quick scheme. Use our free football tips as a foundation, manage your stakes carefully, always take the best odds, and track your results. Over time, informed betting decisions should put you ahead of casual punters.
What leagues are best for football tips?
The Premier League, Championship, and major European leagues (La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga) offer the most betting opportunities. The Bundesliga is excellent for over 2.5 goals and BTTS bets due to its high-scoring games, while Serie A suits under 2.5 goals bets because of tighter defences. The Championship offers great value because bookmakers don't price it as sharply as the Premier League. Our football tips cover all these leagues and more.
When are your football tips posted?
We post our daily football tips by 2pm every day, covering that evening's fixtures and the next day's big games. Weekend football tips are typically posted by Friday afternoon, and our match previews go live 24-48 hours before kick-off. Check back daily for the latest tips, or sign up to our email newsletter to get them delivered straight to your inbox.
Do you offer football tips for tomorrow?
Yes, our match previews often include tips for tomorrow's games, especially for weekend fixtures. If there's a big game on Saturday, we'll post a detailed preview and bet builder on Friday. For midweek Champions League or Europa League fixtures, we post tips the day before kick-off. Bookmark this page and check back regularly for tomorrow's football tips.
