The Players Championship Betting Tips, Predictions & Odds

The Players Championship returns to the Stadium Course at TPC Sawgrass, a venue that continues to ask a different set of questions than most stops on the PGA Tour.
Pete Dye’s design places a premium on positioning, control and decision-making rather than pure distance, with water in play on the vast majority of holes and hazards waiting for even the smallest lapse in judgement.
Although scoring can be achieved, it rarely comes easily. Fairways must be found to open up the best angles into relatively small, contoured greens, and the ability to control approach shots is critical throughout the week.
The closing stretch is among the most recognisable in golf, culminating in the famous island-green 17th, a short par three that continues to influence the championship year after year.

Tip 1: Winner - Ludvig Aberg (Each-Way) (7 places)
Ludvig Aberg comes into this week on the back of a big step forward with his ball striking. At Bay Hill, he ranked second in Strokes Gained: Tee to Green and third in Strokes Gained: Approach, which is exactly the type of profile that tends to work well at TPC Sawgrass, where precision is far more important than power.
His record here reads 8-MC, but missed cuts are common at this event, even from those who have had success here, and the debut eighth-place stands out more. That week, he shot three rounds of 67 and showed he can handle this tough track.
After a slow start to the season, his results have improved with finishes of 37th, 20th and 3rd in his last three starts, suggesting his game is building nicely heading into this week.
Tip 2: Winner - Jacob Bridgeman (Each-Way) (7 places)
Jacob Bridgeman is one of the most consistent players on Tour this season, recording six top-20 finishes in his first six starts, including a breakthrough victory at Riviera.
The biggest change in his game has come with his irons, where he has jumped to 14th in Strokes Gained: Approach after struggling in that area last year. Combined with his excellent putting, it gives him a well-rounded profile suited to TPC Sawgrass.
He also impressed at Bay Hill, recovering from an opening 75 with three solid rounds to finish inside the top 20. Bridgeman gained useful experience here last year and arrives this time in far better form.
Tip 3: Winner - Corey Conners (Each-Way) (7 places)
Corey Conners could be a contender here if last week’s improvement with his iron play proves to be the start of a turnaround. That part of his game had been below its usual standard early in the season, but it looked much better at Bay Hill, which is encouraging given how central it is to his scoring.
TPC Sawgrass has also suited him well. In six appearances, he has finished inside the top seven twice and has frequently put himself in good positions during the tournament. If his long game continues to trend in the right direction, he looks capable of outperforming his odds this week.
Tip 4: Winner - Daniel Berger (Each-Way)
Ryo Hisatsune stands out as an interesting outsider, given the progress he has made over the past year. The Japanese player has already produced several top-10 finishes this season, including a runner-up finish at Torrey Pines, proving he can compete in strong fields.
He has yet to make the weekend at Sawgrass, but those results do not tell the full story and he dealt with the course well for long stretches. Arriving now with a greater pedigree, Hisatsune looks capable of delivering a big showing at a massive price.
