Although most playoff games tend to be defensive minded affairs, it feels like this is likely to be the opposite. Both teams have got some great players, and their defenses are weak in certain areas.
With quarterbacks like Josh Allen and Trevor Lawrence it’s hard to see the scoreline being low. The Jaguars might have the best run defense in the league, but you can score on them through the passing game.
The Bills defense is solid against the pass but was ranked as one of the worst in the league against the run. Both teams should be able to exploit the other weaknesses and get 45 points or more between them.
The over under line for points has been set at 51.5 in the total points market. Take the bet at over 44.5 to make sure we get off to a good start.
Trevor Lawrence 15+ rushing yards and to score a touchdown
Trevor Lawrence has struggled since he arrived in the NFL. However, Liam Coen coming in as head coach has clearly unlocked something in him this season.
The former Clemson college star had passed for just over 4,000 yards and 29 touchdowns. Importantly for this bet though he has also rushed for 359 yards and nine touchdowns.
In six out of his last seven games, Lawrence rushed for over 15 yards. He has also scored four touchdowns in his last four games. When you look at his previous seasons Lawrence was never this prevalent in the run game. Liam Coen has clearly worked out that this is positive play for his team and Lawrence is benefiting from it.
Expect him to get in the endzone again in this game.
Dalton Kincaid to have 3+ receptions and score a touchdown
It’s been an up and down season for Dalton Kincaid. The tight end has missed a few games due to injury and has struggled for form at times because of it.
He has managed to have three or more receptions in eight out of the 12 games he has played in. However, a couple of them games he played little due to picking up injuries.
Kincaid has always been a good redzone threat and has scored five touchdowns this season. Having got fully fit now he should be heavily involved in this game and a touchdown is likely.
