NFL Tips: Sunday Acca Predictions & Betting Odds: Week Nine

It’s been two weeks in a row that we have hit four out of five on the Sunday acca.
This time it was the San Francisco 49ers that cost us a 13/2 winner. Now we move on to week nine and we have got another exciting slate to go through.
NFL Sunday Acca Tips
Here are the five teams in Sunday's 8/1 NFL acca. Below, you'll find the full reasoning and the latest main-market odds from leading UK betting sites.
Odds on the acca are available with Paddy Power, and the current Paddy Power sign-up offer is focused around the NFL, with free bet builders up to £50 available.
Tip 1: LA Chargers -2.5 @ Tennessee Titans (Alternate handicap market)
The LA Chargers have had a good season so far and have a 5-3 record. They have suffered with multiple injuries but are still looking competitive. Kimani Vidal has shown the type of depth the Chargers possess as the third string running back. He has had two 100+ yard games in the last three weeks.
Not only do they have the depth, but they also have some amazing weapons in Ladd McConkey, Keenen Allen, Quentin Johnston and rookie tight end Oronde Gadsden. The defence has also been good and are ranked 7th overall.
Here they face a Titans team that are now in freefall and just want the season to end. They fired their head coach a few weeks back and now old head coach Mike McCoy has taken over as an interim.
Cam Ward has struggled all season with five touchdowns and six interceptions. They are sitting bottom of the AFC South with only one win, and it doesn’t look like they will get many more this season. Take the Chargers to win this comfortably.
Tip 2: Detroit Lions -3.5 vs Minnesota Vikings (Alternate handicap market)
The Lions are flying again and are competing for the NFC North title with the Packers. They currently sit second with a 5-2 record, and they are looking as strong as they did last year. Losing both coordinators this offseason was a worry, but it doesn’t seem to have stopped them.
Jared Goff has had another good season so far and with the number of offensive weapons he has it should continue. Amon-Ra St Brown is the wide receiver with the most touchdowns in the league and the Gibbs/Montgomery running combo is on fire again.
The Lions will be facing division rivals, the Minnesota Vikings in this matchup. It’s been a tough campaign for the Vikings who are bottom of the NFC North with a 3-4 record. Their biggest problem has been a lack of quality at the quarterback position.
JJ McCarthy has been out injured but struggled before. Then Carson Wentz took over but he has now had season ending surgery on his shoulder. Now they have an injured McCarthy and rookie Max Brosmer as choices for this game. They might bring someone else in, but they won’t be able to compete against this strong Lions team.
Tip 3: New England Patriots -2.5 vs Atlanta Falcons (Alternate handicap market)
The Patriots have had a great season so far and given their schedule this should continue. They still must play the Buccaneers and the Bills but after that they have got a good chance of winning their remaining games. They are currently top of the AFC East with a 6-2 record having won their last five games in a row.
Drake Maye has had a great season and has a 75.2 pass completion percentage. He has also thrown 15 touchdowns and only three interceptions. The job he is doing with head coach Mike Vrabel is amazing and the Patriots are well and truly back.
The Patriots are hosting an Atlanta Falcons side who are very hit and miss. One minute they have a good performance but then they can’t back it up. Last week they had an awful loss at home to the Dolphins leaving them 3-4.
Michael Penix and Drake London should be back for this game after missing the Dolphins defeat. Although this should give them a boost the Patriots are on a roll. Take them to win this one by at least three points.
Tip 4: Denver Broncos to win @ Houston Texans (Moneyline market)
The Broncos are having a big season so far and have a 6-2 record. Sitting at the top of the AFC West is a tough ask when you are against the Chiefs and Chargers. The Broncos have won their last five games including away to the Eagles.
The Denver defence have been great over the first eight weeks and are ranked fifth in the league. With a stout defence and a solid offence head coach Sean Payton has done great over the last few years and now they are truly competitive.
Here they are going up against another team with a top five defence who are tough to beat. The Texans are currently 3-4 and have struggled to get things going on the offence. A win last week against the 49ers should help but the 49ers have a ton of injuries.
Here they are playing against a much tougher team, and a loss is likely to be on the cards. Take the Broncos to get the win.
Tip 5: Jacksonville Jaguars -2.5 @ Las Vegas Raiders (Alternate handicap market)
It’s been a bumpy first eight weeks for the Jaguars and they have a 4-3 record. A bad loss in London against the Rams does make them hard to trust but the Rams are a great team.
The Jaguars had their bye last week and the week off should have made a difference. They have beaten the Panthers, Texans, 49ers and Chiefs so far this season. All of them teams have better defences then their opponents in this game.
Here the Jaguars are taking on a Raiders team that have just never got going this season. At 2-5 it’s hard to think that the Raiders are suddenly going to improve. They have missed star tight end Brock Bowers through injury this season and its showed.
In their last game they lost 31-0 against the Chiefs. Although the Chiefs are great it’s a huge disappointment not to score a single point. Brock Bowers should be back and maybe that will help them but they are not as good as the Jaguars. Take the team from Florida to win by more than three points.
