NFL Tips: Sunday Acca Week 15 - Five Predictions for December 14
It feels like this year is seeing a change at the top of the NFL. The Chiefs have been towards the top of the league for multiple years but are struggling to get in the playoffs.
The Eagles, Ravens and Bills have all struggled to dominate how they have in the past. However, teams like the Patriots and Broncos who have been gone for a few years are back and looking good.
NFL Tips: Sunday December 14 Acca
Now we move into week 15 and for many teams they must win games now to get into the playoffs. We have got a five-fold that is around 6/1 at betting site Paddy Power for this weekend’s big NFL slate.
Tip 1: Houston Texans to beat the Arizona Cardinals (Moneyline market)
The Texans are on a run now, and it looks like it will continue here. They have won their last five games in a row including some big wins against the Bills, Colts and Chiefs.
Their success is largely due to how great their defence has been this season. They are ranked first in the league when it comes to limiting the number of yards that their opponents get.
Now the Texans are going up against the Arizona Cardinals who just want the season to be over. They are bottom of the NFC West with a 3-10 record and are already eliminated from playoff contention.
They have lost their last five games in a row and got destroyed last week against the LA Rams. Its going to be tough for them to get anything out of this game given how good the Texans defence is.
Expect the Texans to keep the pressure on the Jaguars at the top of the AFC South and get another win.
Tip 2: Cincinnati Bengals to beat the Baltimore Ravens (Moneyline market)
It’s been a tough season for Bengals fans but thanks to Joe Burrow coming back from injury they look much better. He has been back for two games now and the offence has scored over 32 points in both games.
The defence has improved slightly as well but they are still a team that you can score on. With the Bengals sitting third in the division with a 4-9 record, it is unlikely that they will make the playoffs, but a win is a must if they have any chance.
The Bengals have got a tough matchup against their division rivals, the Baltimore Ravens. The Ravens are struggling for consistency, and it feels like eventually it will cost them this year.
They have just lost their last two games in a row against the Steelers and the Bengals, both at home. Lamar Jackson is not looking great, and the defence is struggling to stop anyone.
It’s hard to believe that the Ravens are favourites for this game considering the Bengals destroyed them just two weeks ago. Expect the Bengals to get another win and keep their unlikely playoff dreams alive for one more week.
Tip 3: Chicago Bears to beat the Cleveland Browns (Moneyline market)
The Bears have had a great season this year and that largely must be thanks to new head coach Ben Johnson. The former Lions offensive coordinator has turned a team that went 5-12 last season to one that is currently 9-4 now.
They had won four in a row before last week when they were unlucky against the Green Bay Packers and lost 28-21. The defence is a solid unit, and Caleb Williams has improved at quarterback.
Now they must take on a Cleveland Browns team that is fighting hard but not getting many wins. They are currently bottom of the AFC North with a 3-10 record.
The defence has been good all season and Myles Garrett is a big favourite to win the defensive player of the year. Shedeur Sanders is now the starting quarterback for the rest of the season, and he is improving every week.
Although the Browns defence are tough to beat the Bears should take care of business here and get another win.
Tip 4: Carolina Panthers to beat the New Orleans Saints (Moneyline market)
The Panthers have had a solid season this year and are joint first in their division. It wasn’t that long ago that they had the number one pick in the draft and couldn’t get a win for anything.
Now they have got a solid defence that is doing well and an offence that can win games. They went out and beat the LA Rams in week 13 showing how far they really have come. The Panthers had their bye in week 14 and that is a huge advantage for this game.
They must go up against a New Orleans Saints team that has struggled all season. They are bottom of the NFC South with a 3-10 record and have nothing to play for now other than pride.
Tyler Shough has shown that he is a solid quarterback but nothing special. The Saints had a big win last week against the Buccaneers but then lost to the Dolphins and Falcons the previous two weeks.
The Saints beat the Panthers earlier in the season. Expect the Panthers to get revenge here.
Tip 5: Dallas Cowboys to beat the Minnesota Vikings (Moneyline market)
The Cowboys have turned their season around over the last month. It looked like they could end up with an awful record, but a couple of wins has got them to a 6-6-1 record now.
Last week they lost when they went away to Detroit, but they still managed to get 30 points in that game. The defence had looked better till they played the Lions, but they should get back to being better against the Vikings.
Minnesota have had a rough time this season after such a great one last year. They are 5-8 currently and are sitting bottom of the NFC North. They won’t make the playoffs this year and now its about developing their quarterback.
JJ McCarthy has had a poor season but did look better last week when the Vikings beat up a poor Washington Commanders defence. It’s hard to see that happening again away to the Cowboys and a win should be coming for Dallas here.
