Chelsea fans didn't have to wait long for more trophies under Jose Mourinho. Following a transitional season the Portuguese tactician guided the club to a League Cup and Premier League double, adding to the two Premier League titles, one FA Cup and two League Cup trophies he oversaw during his first stint with Chelsea between 2004 and 2007.
Having won the 2011/12 Champions League and 2012/13 Europa League, Chelsea again looked strong and continued their excellent record of reaching the latter stages of Europe's premier club competition last season. Their run however ended at the last-16 phase, denied in extra-time by Paris Saint-Germain on the away goal rule despite leading twice.
After such a successful season, Chelsea are at the forefront of outright betting for the Premier League, FA Cup and League Cup in 2015/16, but it's the Champions League that Mourinho covets most having already won the trophy twice with Porto and Inter. The Blues are not among the favourites to win the European Cup, but are considered the most likely challengers outside of Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid according to bookmaker prices at the outset.
The Blues will begin their Premier League defence against Swansea at Stamford Bridge before heading to the Etihad for a potentially pivotal clash with last year's runners-up, Man City. Arsenal come to the Bridge in September and Liverpool will be in town on Halloween, while a trip to Old Trafford beckons between Boxing Day and New Year. Chelsea travel to Arsenal in January and play host to United the following month. They play Liverpool away in March with Man City visiting 5 games from the finish in April and the final game of the season will be against Leicester City.
