9/1 Big Boxing Acca: featuring Ryan Garcia, Michael Conlan, Troy Williamson and more...
Expect some fireworks inside the ring this weekend.
Ryan Garcia and Michael Conlan are two of the most exciting fighters in the sport, and both headline cards in Belfast and Houston atop of stacked cards.
Our three-fold weighs in at a tasty 9/1 this weekend, focusing on the legs below.
Michael Conlan to beat Jordan Gill by KO, TKO, Disqualification
You’re guaranteed excitement when Michael Conlan enters the ring.
The Belfast fighter is back fighting in front of a home crowd, looking to right the wrongs of recent defeats to Leigh Wood and Luis Alberto Lopez at featherweight.
He’s fighting up at super-featherweight now looking to try and make a dent in Jordan Gill and the division as a whole.
Gill has been out of the ring for a year following an unexpected TKO loss to the now-retired Kiko Martinez.
Conlan will be fired up for this one and is a level above Gill – backing the stoppage looks sensible.
Ryan Garcia to beat Oscar Duarte by KO, TKO, Disqualification
After suffering his maiden defeat as a professional to Gervonta Davis in April, “KingRy” Garcia is back in action looking to re-build his promising career.
The flashy 25-year-old takes on Oscar Duarte, looking to put a dent in his 11-fight winning streak.
As we know in boxing, records are DJs, and Duarte’s 26-1-1 slate doesn’t quite tell the whole story.
The 27-year-old is yet to complete a 12-round fight as a pro and has yo-yoed between a mixture of cards in Mexico and the USA.
Garcia won’t have it all his own way on Saturday but should eventually break down Duarte to register a 20th career stoppage.
Troy Williamson to beat Caoimhin Agyarko by Decision, Technical Decision
Williamson-Agyarko is the fight of the weekend and pretty impossible to pick before the sound of the opening bell.
Both men will be facing their toughest opponent to date on Saturday night, and we’re edging with the slight underdog, Williamson.
Williamson should have the edge in power against Agyarko and, following his UD loss to Josh Kelly last year, should have added a couple of strings to his bow in an attempt to compete at the top table.
Agyarko is skilled but may lose his way down the stretch if he tries to cruise to another decision victory.
