We've got two darts betting tips and predictions for Sunday afternoon's semi-finals in Wolverhampton.
Tip 1: Luke Humphries vs Gerwyn Price - Over 28.5 legs
Despite suffering with slight back spasms, Luke Humphries hasn’t had any issues in gliding to a third Grand Slam of Darts semi-final in four years.
The current world No. 1 flexed his muscles in the second half of his contest against former world champion Michael Smith, coming through as a 16-8 winner courtesy of a 105 three-dart average.
But Gerwyn Price is a different operator altogether.
The Welshman will turn up for a fight in Wolverhampton and having proved himself as one of the most consistent players on tour this season will fancy pushing Humphries into a long and painful match.
The legs market is the one to focus on here as we eye up a potential classic.
There will be plenty of holds, plenty of breaks of throw, but plenty of legs in the process as these two try to edge closer to that 16-leg target.
Over 28.5 legs feels about right, meaning a 16-13, 16-4 or 16-15 scoreline for either man.
Tip 2: Luke Littler to win 16-9 or 16-10 vs Danny Noppert
Luke Littler is cantering towards a defence of his Grand Slam of Darts title at a worrying pace for his competitors.
“The Nuke” looks in full control of every match up on the Wolverhampton oche, and despite edging Josh Rock by just four legs in the quarter-final, I am not sure too many people ever thought that the 18-year-old wasn’t going to advance into the last four.
Danny Noppert is up next for Littler as he lands himself the favourable semi-final draw, but the Dutchman has the capability of upsetting the best players on his day.
It’s 3-1 to Littler in the head-to-heads, and we expect this to turn into 4-1 on Sunday despite the best efforts from Noppert who is becoming a familiar fixture in the latter stages of PDC major tournaments.
We’re giving Littler breathing room for half a dozen legs here, as he gets things wrapped up before another major final.
