The 2025 Players Championship Finals roll into Minehead, and the betting market is settling exactly as youโd expect for one of the most beautifully chaotic weekends on the PDC calendar.
And here at Free Bets, our darts betting expert, Lewis Watson, is here with his three darts tips for the Players Championship Finals.
Players Championship Finals Preview
The top 64 land at Butlinโs off the back of a long, bruising season โ and history tells us this tournament is just as capable of producing bolt-from-the-blue semi-finalists as it is crowning the usual headline acts.
Short races to six legs in the early rounds add to the chaos here, as well as the looming shadow of the World Championship only weeks away.
The Lukes are the men arriving at Minehead with a target on their backs. Littler, the new world number one and Humphries the defending champion after a 11-7 win over Littler last year.
Players Championship Finals Tips: Outright Picks
Letโs take a look at our three betting tips for this weekend's action at Minehead.
- Tip 1: Luke Littler to win the tournament - 15/8
- Tip 2: Gerwyn Price to win 1st Quarter - 13/8
- Tip 3: Luke Humphries to win 3rd Quarter - 21/10
Tip 1: Luke Littler to win the Players Championship Finals
Such is Luke Littlerโs hunger for dominance in darts, you have to keep an eye out for the tournaments that heโs yet to win.
Granted, there arenโt many left, but the Players Championship Finals is one.
The new world number one lost to Luke Humphries last year in the final, so will be eyeing up that one step better this campaign, starting out against Swedenโs Jeffrey de Graaf.
Littler is a bully over long format matches but is culpable to shocks in short races to six. This being said, 15/8 for โThe Nukeโ to land another TV title before the Worlds is a good option.
Tip 2: Gerwyn Price to win 1st Quarter
Gerwyn Price is the best player in world darts at the moment not named Luke.
The โIcemanโ may not have the world ranking at present to prove this, but heโs consistently playing well in the big tournaments, typically getting dumped out by either Littler or Humphries.
In ten outings here, Price has only reached one semi-final and one final, and is due a better run nestled in a favourable quarter.
Stephen Bunting is the lowest seed in the Welshmanโs quarter, but his form is suffering a little after a fast start to 2025.
Tip 3: Luke Humphries to win 3rd Quarter
Humphries explained after his Grand Slam of Darts final loss to Luke Littler that he and the 18-year-old are the best two players in the world by some distance.
Weโre not going to disagree with โCool Handโ and expect him to escape his quarter at a big price of 21/10.
Humphries has won this title in back-to-back years, reaching the semi-final the season before, but has some dangerous Dutchman (van Veen, Noppert, Nijman, Veenstra, van Barneveld and van Duijvenbode) to navigate in his segment.
