Aston Villa vs Tottenham Premier League Predictions, Odds & Betting Tips

A big game for both ends of the table, with Villa looking to increase their top four chances, and of course, Spurs looking to prevent relegation.
The stakes couldn't be much higher, but neither team comes here in the best of form. Tottenham won last week, their first win since December, while Aston Villa lost 1-0 in Europe on Thursday, and 1-0 against Fulham last weekend.
Read on for the full football tips breakdown, the latest odds and the best betting sites to back them with.
Aston Villa vs Tottenham Tips
Neither team has been at their best recently, and both would agree with that. It's this that often makes betting so difficult, because you're second guessing which version of each team turns up.
But there is something, specifically in the league form they've produced at home recently, which points me in the direction of Aston Villa to take the points here.
Tip 1: Aston Villa to Win @ 23/20
Aston Villa's overall league form, two wins from their last six, brings plenty of questions. But when you break it down, there's hope they can win this.
Those two wins have been their last two games at home, so they are continuing to pick up points at Villa Park, and have done so recently.
They're in the hunt for a top four spot, with four games left, and I think this is the easiest of those four games. Yes, they've got Europe distracting them, but for the league, this is absolutely massive, a game they have to win.
Spurs finally got a much needed win last week. But there's plenty of work to be done before I start considering them as a betting proposition.
Tip 2: Aston Villa 1-0 Tottenham Correct Score @ 10/1
Building on the Villa win angle, I think there's great value in this game outcome being determined by a single goal.
The double figure odds on offer for a 1-0 Villa win offer real value here. Spurs scored once last week to nick a win, but continue to have attacking injury problems, and away from home, that's going to make life very tough for them.
Villa had a thriller with Sunderland, winning 4-3, but if you take that game aside, they've only conceded three goals in four games around that, and that's despite only recording one win from those.
Tight and nervy for both sides is how I think this goes. Double figures on Villa to nick this 1-0 seems a very fair price.
Tip 3: Aston Villa Win, Under 2.5 Goals, Morgan Rogers Over 2.5 Shots
I've already stated my case for Villa to win this one, and I think regardless of where you sit with the match outcome, the case for a low scoring game is there.
In two of their last three games, Spurs have won 1-0 and lost 1-0, they keep things tight. Villa have lost their last two games 1-0, and in four of their last five, in all competitions, under 2.5 goals has hit.
Finally, a player to look out for, Morgan Rogers. He gets the ball in wider areas, but has an excellent shot. He's averaging 2.3 shots per game in the Premier League, I'll back him to hit over 2.5 here.
Being at home helps, Villa will look to be on the front foot, and should hold the majority of possession, all of which boost the chances of Rogers taking slightly more shots than his season average.
