Valspar Championship Betting Tips, Predictions & Odds

The PGA Tour remains in Florida for the Valspar Championship, played at the Copperhead Course at Innisbrook, a layout that regularly ranks among the tougher tests on the schedule.
This is a course built around precision. Fairways are narrow, angles matter and players are constantly asked to place the ball in the right spots rather than simply hitting driver everywhere. Being out of position quickly leads to problems.
The test doesn’t ease from there, with a steady supply of demanding approach shots into well-guarded greens. Long irons are used more than usual and distance control is key.
There are very few straightforward holes, and mistakes tend to be punished.
The closing stretch, known as the Snake Pit, is one of the most difficult finishes on tour and often plays a major role in deciding the winner.

Tip 1: Winner - Austin Smotherman (Each-Way)
Austin Smotherman arrives in excellent shape after another eye-catching week at The Players, where he opened fast and stayed involved to finish 13th. That follows a runner-up effort earlier in the season and a top-10 at PGA West, underlining a clear step forward in 2026.
The underlying numbers are just as encouraging. He sits among the best on tour for approach play and tee-to-green performance, while also ranking well for accuracy, a key requirement at Copperhead.
Previous visits here have produced mid-range finishes, but those came before his recent improvement, and he now returns as a more complete player.
With his current level of ball-striking and improved reliability when in contention, this looks like a good opportunity for Smotherman to take another step forward.
Tip 2: Winner - Ricky Castillo (Each-Way)
Ricky Castillo looks worth another chance after his recent win, even if last week didn’t go to plan. He was never really involved at Sawgrass, but that can be overlooked given the quick turnaround and the strength of the field.
Prior to that, his form had been building nicely, leading into that victory with a series of solid efforts. He’s generally reliable off the tee, keeps the ball in play and gives himself plenty of looks with his irons.
He also showed here last year that the course suits, handling it well across the week.
Back on a layout that rewards control, this feels like a better opportunity for him to get back into contention.
Tip 3: Winner - Bud Cauley (Each-Way)
Bud Cauley put together a decent display at Sawgrass last week, gaining over 5.5 strokes tee to green, which mirrors the level he showed at last year’s Players Championship before going on to finish fourth here at Innisbrook.
On that evidence, he looks to be trending back towards a similar standard, and that previous result at Copperhead only adds to the appeal.
Given how well this layout suited him 12 months ago, and with his overall game moving in the right direction again, he looks worth a chance at the current price.
Tip 4: Winner - Taylor Moore (Each-Way)
Taylor Moore has a clear track record at this venue, lifting the trophy in 2023 and following it up with another solid showing 12 months later, with his long game a big factor on both occasions.
His recent results are respectable without standing out, but there were positives in how he struck the ball, particularly off the tee in a stronger field than he faced earlier in the swing.
Earlier in the run, he produced one of his best performances of the season, combining quality ball-striking with a hot putter to finish second.
Returning to a course that suits his eye, he makes plenty of appeal based on both past success here and his overall level this year.
