Minnesota Vikings vs Detroit Lions Bet Builder, Tips, Predictions & Latest Odds

We have got an interesting divisional matchup on Christmas Day as the Detroit Lions travel to Minnesota to take on the Vikings.
Both teams have had a tough time of it this season and will be hoping to give their fans a Christmas present.
Vikings vs Lions Bet Builder Tips
The Vikings are already out of playoff contention but have hit a bit of form recently. The Lions on the other hand have been struggling to win games and are in a must win situation if they want to make the playoffs.
Below, we've got Bet Builder betting tips around 15/2 for Christmas Day's huge clash.
Detroit Lions -2.5 (Alternate handicap market)
The Lions have reached a must win now situation if they want to make the playoffs this season. They are currently second in the NFC North with an 8-7 record but must win their last two games if they have any chance.
They have lost their last two games against the Rams and the Steelers, but they have been competitive in these games. The offence is still putting up decent numbers, but the defence is struggling.
Now they must travel to Minnesota to take on a Vikings team that have a 7-8 record and are out of playoff contention. They have had a bit of a renaissance in recent weeks winning their last three games.
However, it looks like quarterback JJ McCarthy will miss this game, and his better form will be missed. Max Broshmer will take over, and he has looked limited in what he can do.
The Lions should win this by more than three points.
Over 39.5 points (Alternate total points market)
Although the Vikings have Max Broshmer at quarterback, they are still expected to score some points. The Lionโs defence is not doing well and is likely to give up a few points to this Vikings team.
The Lions offence is still capable of scoring a decent number of points in any game they play. They have averaged 32 points a game in their last four games and that should be enough to get over 39.5 points in this one.
Amon-Ra St Brown to score a touchdown anytime
Amon-Ra St Brown has had a great season this year and is likely to have another good game here. He has had 1,194 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns this season.
He is Jared Goffs number one wide receiver and although he had a quiet game last week itโs unlikely, he will be kept quiet for long in this one. Expect him to put his quiet performance behind him and have a good game against the Vikings.
Aaron Jones to score a touchdown anytime
With Max Broshmer in at quarterback, it does feel that the Vikings may struggle to score many touchdowns through the passing game. Therefore, they will have to rely heavily on the run game and Aaron Jones is their main guy.
Jordan Mason got injured last week and so Jones will see plenty of action against a Lions defence that you can score against. Both the Steelers and Rams ran effectively against the Lions and so the Vikings should be able to as well.
