England vs Fiji Tips, England vs Fiji Odds

A much-changed England side take on Fiji on Saturday afternoon, looking to build on an unconvincing win over Australia last weekend.

Scott Borthwick's side did enough to get a comfortable win under their belts, but didn't deliver on the attacking rugby that was expected against a poor Wallabies side.

Fiji this week offers them the chance to try a few more combinations out, with a few changes to the starting XV but enough regulars still in to suggest they are taking it seriously.

England are heavy favourites with sports betting sites to win the game, but Fiji are a dangerous side.

England vs Fiji Tips

Here are our top three rugby tips ahead of England vs Fiji in the autumn internationals.

Tip 1: Ollie Lawrence to score - 15/8

Lawrence feels like one of the forgotten men of English rugby.

He was arguably England's standout player in the 2025 Six Nations before an achilles injury ruled him out of the Lions summer tour, and Tommy Freeman was preferred at 13 against Australia last week.

He hasn't been the most prolific for England over the years, but if last week is anything to go by, they are a little bit reluctant still to get the ball totally out wide and Lawrence will get plenty of carries.

I think they will try and take the handbrake off in this one, which means the backs should get some ball and Lawrence, as a strong carrier, will punch a few holes in the defence - particularly if they have a lot of possession in the Fiji 22.

Tip 2: England to win by 8-14 - 3/1

Historically, you would expect this to be a big win for England, with Fiji's running power and attacking flair resulting in a very broken game and plenty of opportunities to score.

That is still the case, but they have shown recently - they have beaten Scotland and Wales in the past 12 months and lost to Australia by just three points - that they have another side to their game.

England's defence still isn't perfect and they showed that there are glitches in their game against Australia, so this game is unlikely to go smoothly for them but their class should tell.

England's strength is in the bench and they could really pull away from the tourists in the second half, but I think it will be a slightly closer game than most expect.

Tip 3: Cowan-Dickie to score, Cunningham-South to score, England to score under 40.5 - 13/1

We saw against Australia last week that England's dominance and style of play often comes from the forwards, and I think they will try and press home their strength against Fiji.

The set piece will be crucial, and that's where I see the likes of Luke Cowan-Dickie and Chandler Cunningham-South coming into it.

Cowan-Dickie has a very good try-scoring record and touched down against Australia last weekend. Restored to the starting XV, I expect him to be sniffing around the try line again this weekend.

Cunningham-South has started the season really well, moving to number eight with an instant impact and making himself a viable option there for Scott Borthwick.

With Jack Willis moving to France, his pace and power could be a huge bonus to England and I'm looking forward to seeing his carrying ability on Saturday.

I don't think England will totally run riot however. Fiji's recent form suggests that while there will be a few points scored, it's unlikely - although not impossible - that they will have a cricket score run up against them.
