Joseph Parker v Derek Chisora - Free Bets, Betting Offers & Big Fight Prediction

It’s a heavyweight rematch in Manchester as Derek Chisora seeks revenge over Joseph Parker

It’s the heavyweight rematch that nobody really asked for, but one we’ll be getting anyway…

After a split decision win over the Briton in the summer, Joseph Parker returns to the Manchester Arena in hope of notching up back-to-back wins over the seemingly ageless Derek Chisora.

There are opportunities aplenty in the heavyweight division at present and a win for either of these B/C-level heavyweights could elevate them into conversations for a bigger, more lucrative fight in 2022.

Both Parker and Chisora have been in the sport long enough to know that a loss on Saturday night could spell trouble for the rest of their careers.

Parker (29), eight years the junior or Derek Chisora only has two losses to his name compared to Chisora’s 11, but as the old adage tells us: ‘anything can happen in heavyweight boxing’.

And it usually does…

We at freebets.com are going to take a closer look at the bout, as well as those all-important tips and free bets on offer.

The Big Prediction

A lot of rematches can take years and years to finalize and agree, but Parker v Chisora II hits our screens just seven-and-a-half months after the original meeting.

Sure, that may have something to do with the lack of real fireworks in the first meeting and a lack of other options for both elsewhere, but the odds reflect a similar fight to that one back in May.

Chisora’s aggression and willing to throw bomb after bomb is how he wins this rematch. The Briton is 2/1 with bet365 to gain revenge in Manchester, but will have to become the first fighter to stop Joseph Parker, and only the third – behind Anthony Joshua and Dillian Whyte – to beat him.

Chisora did floor Parker in the opening round of their first fight and still carries that power, but Parker was able to negate that for the rest of the fight in May by boxing off the back foot and sticking behind his long jab.

We can’t imagine a different fight from the first, although Chisora may have to commit to rolling the dice later in the fight as well as early in order to win some of the tighter rounds.

We are going for a repeat in Manchester.

8/11 for the fight to go the distance is a fantastic price and Joseph Parker to win on the scorecards at 7/5 accompanies that well.

The First Meeting

It’s rare in boxing that the first seven seconds of a fight are the most interesting, but that’s exactly what happened the last time Joseph Parker and Derek Chisora met.

An early overhand, cuffing right hand from Chisora sent the away fighter to the floor in disbelief, who would go on to clear his head and legs and adapt to the rest of Chisora’s artillery throughout the fight.

Chisora found out exactly how tough Parker is during those 36 minutes.

When the pair fought in the pocket “War” was able to connect with some powerful digs, with Parker’s best work coming at longer range off the back of a solid jab.

A split decision win for Parker was contested by Chisora’s camp, although it was hard to score more than 4-5 rounds for the Briton.
