England vs DR Congo Tips, Predictions & 10/1 Bet Builder
Scott McGlynn

England will look to breathe fire into their World Cup campaign against DR Congo in their Round of 32 encounter.
The Three Lions struggled for a large chunk of the game to break down Panama before prevailing 2-0 in their final Group L match, while DR Congo reached the knockout stages for the first time, overturning a 1-0 deficit in their Group K meeting with Uzbekistan before running out 3-1 winners.
Here are our three football betting tips and the best free bet offers ahead of Wednesday's clash in Atlanta.
England vs DR Congo Tips
Here are our top three World Cup betting tips and the best free bets ahead of this game.
Tip 1: England to win to nil
For those of an England persuasion, it has been a tough watch. Facing teams embracing low blocks, such as Ghana and Panama, has stymied England’s creativity.
Thomas Tuchel’s side have routinely dominated possession, but they have often been too predictable and tepid in their build-up play.
Although the group stage can be cagey, the Three Lions did little to bolster their credentials as a serious World Cup contender.
DR Congo entered the tournament as an unknown quantity, but they are a cohesive unit, and they have already surpassed expectations.
Yoane Wissa, for example, who netted a double against Uzbekistan, is a slippery customer, but England need to let the handbrake off.
I don’t see England folding, and while there could be some hairy moments, I’m expecting them to come good, and the win to nil line is inviting.
Tip 2: Jude Bellingham to score
Where would England be without Jude Bellingham? He’s been fabulous to date, pulling the strings from the middle of the park, and he’s a difference maker.
He’s also chipped in with a couple of vital goals, helping alleviate some of the pressure on Harry Kane’s broad shoulders.
While Kane (11) recently supplanted Gary Lineker’s tally (10) as England’s leading all-time World Cup scorer, Bellingham is a special player who can sprinkle stardust on a game.
He makes for box-office viewing, and I fancy him to come to the fore. Bellingham to net anytime makes sense.
Tip 3: Over 1.5 goals, Jude Bellingham to score & over 6.5 saves
Given how mediocre England were at times during the group stage, I’m not expecting this game to be a blockbuster. Over 1.5 goals is a cautious, but pragmatic way to kick off this bet builder.
Bellingham has been exceptional, contributing three goal involvements (two goals and one assist). He can wriggle out of tight spots, and he has the X-factor. The midfielder to score anytime is worth adding to your slips.
Wrap things up with the keepers to be occupied. While England have been defensively susceptible at times, the DR Congo shot-stopper could be called into action at regular points. A combined Over 6.5 saves is attainable.
