We are nearly at the end of the second round of group games in this year’s enthralling World Cup. If teams want to qualify for the knockout stages, they must get a win now to cement their spot.
On Tuesday night we have got England taking on Ghana in what looks to be an exciting matchup. Both teams won their first group game, and another win here will almost certainly give them top spot in group L.
Here are our three football betting tips and the best free bet offers ahead of Tuesday evening's clash at Gillette Stadium.
England vs Ghana Tips
Here are our top three World Cup betting tips and the best free bets ahead of this game.
Tip 1: England to win & both teams to score
England had a great start to their World Cup campaign beating Croatia 4-2 in exhilarating fashion. A brace from Harry Kane set them off and then Jude Bellingham and Marcus Rashford finished the job.
Defensively they did look a little shaky against a Croatian side that seemed to struggle with the pace of their opponents. Despite that confidence must be high going into this matchup and another win should be on the cards.
England must now face Ghana who also won their opening game but in a more sedate fashion, beating Panama 1-0. The Ghanaians looked solid defensively but failed to offer much going forward which was a surprise.
The likes of Antoine Semenyo, Inhaki Williams and Jordan Ayew will be hoping to make an impression on this World Cup despite having a quiet first game. Brandon Thomas-Asante had a solid game against Panama and will be looking to impress again.
Expect England to take care of business again but for the Ghanian attack to do more than what they did against Panama.
Tip 2: Antoine Semenyo to be shown a card
Antoine Semenyo is known more for his goal scoring exploits, but he does tend to get involved in a few scraps as well. The Manchester City forward committed 56 fouls in the 37 games that he played in the Premier League last season and got booked seven times.
Chances are that Ghana will not have a great deal of possession in this game and so frustration could occur for Semenyo. At a big price he is worth chancing to get involved in a confrontation or two and be shown a card.
Tip 3: Jude Bellingham 1+ shot on target, Harry Kane to score & Antoine Semenyo to be shown a card
Jude Bellingham had a rough season due to injury but after the first game he clearly looks back to full fitness. In the 22 starts he had for Real Madrid he had 51 shots with 26 of them hitting the target. He also had three shots against Croatia with two hitting the target. That’s a great conversion rate and he should get chances against Ghana.
Harry Kane to score feels like an obvious one to put in your bet. Kane scored 36 times in 25 starts for Bayern Munich and got two more goals against Croatia last Wednesday. He is likely to get at least one more in this game.
Finally add Antoine Semenyo to be shown a card. He committed 56 fouls in 37 Premier League games last season and was booked seven times. He could easily pick up a yellow card here and he is a big price.
