The early hours of Sunday morning will see the end of the group stages as group J comes to a close. One of the last games will be Jordan taking on World Cup holders Argentina in what should be an interesting contest.
Argentina have already qualified but will want to make sure they get at least a point to guarantee finishing top of the group. Jordan on the other hand is already out of the tournament but will want to show what they can do.
Here are our three football betting tips and the best free bet offers ahead of Saturday night's clash at AT&T Stadium.
Jordan vs Argentina Tips
Here are our top three World Cup betting tips and the best free bets ahead of this game.
Tip 1: Argentina to win 1-0, 2-0 or 3-0
Argentina couldn’t have wished for a better start to their World Cup campaign this year and it’s hard to see it changing here. They have beaten Algeria 3-0 and Austria 2-0 as they go into this game against Jordan.
Their legendary forward Lionel Messi has scored all five of Argentina’s goals in this tournament, but he might be rested in this game. What is impressive is that they haven’t conceded a goal yet and don’t look like doing so either.
Now they must face a Jordan side who have struggled to make any sort of impression in this tournament. A 2-1 loss to Austria was followed with a 3-1 loss to Algeria and this game will be a serious step up in opposition.
Ali Olwan and Mousa Al-Tamari have shown positive signs going forward but there is a limit to what they can do. Overall, Argentina should finish off this group with a comfortable win without conceding to a team who are far below them in quality.
Tip 2: Julian Alvarez to score
It is hard to get away from Lionel Messi to score for Argentina but there is a strong chance that the veteran will be rested for this game. Even if he does start it would be surprising to see him play the whole game and so Julian Alvarez should take his place.
The Atletico Madrid forward had a great season last year scoring 20 goals in all competitions. He hasn’t had much game time so far in this World Cup, but he is a lethal striker who when given the opportunity normally comes through.
Tip 3: Ali Olwan 1+ shot on target, Nizar Al Rashdan to be shown a card & Julian Alvarez to score
Ali Olwan has been one of the few attacking threats for Jordan at this years World Cup. He has had six shots with three hitting the target in their first two games and although Argentina has a good defence he should get a couple of opportunities.
Nizar Al Rashdan is a combative midfielder who has already committed four fouls in the first two games that Jordan has played. Going up against a strong midfield could easily see him commit some more and get a yellow card.
Finally add Julian Alvarez to score anytime. The Atletico Madrid forward should see some more game time against Jordan and has the talent to score a goal against their defence.
