We have got an interesting game in the early hours of Saturday morning as Group G finishes their final games. New Zealand have got to take on Belgium, and both teams must win to guarantee qualification to the knockout stages.
New Zealand, the lowest ranked team in the competition, have only managed to get a point so far but a win would see them qualify. Belgium have been a huge disappointment so far with only two points to their name.
Here are our three football betting tips and the best free bet offers ahead of Friday night's clash in Vancouver.
New Zealand vs Belgium Tips
Here are our top three World Cup betting tips and the best free bets ahead of this game.
Tip 1: Belgium to win & both teams to score
New Zealand cant have been expecting much going into this tournament given that they are the lowest ranked team. However, they have shown that they can compete as they drew 2-2 with Iran and lost 3-1 against Egypt.
Everyone was expecting Chris Wood to be the main goalscoring threat, but Motherwell forward Elijah Just has shown how good he can be. He has scored two of New Zealand’s three goals this tournament and Belgium will have to keep an eye on him.
New Zealand can still qualify but only with a win against Belgium who will be tough to beat. They have only conceded one goal in the two games they have played so far but New Zealand have shown they can get goals.
The Belgian attack has been disappointing in the first two games, and they need to make an impact here if they are to qualify. The one goal that Belgium have scored came from an own goal by Egypt, but they have to much quality to stay quiet any longer.
Expect Belgium to finally kick start their World Cup and get a solid win against New Zealand.
Tip 2: Kevin De Bruyne to score
Kevin De Bruyne has been the only highlight for Belgium so far in this World Cup. The Napoli midfielder scored five goals and had two assists last season in only 13 starts.
He has had the most shots for Belgium so far in this World Cup and always looks a threat going forward. It’s hard to feel confident about any of the Belgian team scoring at the moment but if anyone can its De Bruyne.
Tip 3: Callum McCowatt 1+ shot on target, Ryan Thomas to be shown a card & Kevin De Bruyne to score
Callum McCowatt has had four shots over the first two games New Zealand have played with three of them hitting the target. McCowatt plays for Silkeborg IF in the Danish Superliga and last season he had a 48% shot to shots on target conversion rate.
Ryan Thomas might not have started either of New Zealand’s group games, but he is still a good bet. Having come on in both games he has committed two fouls and one of them could easily become a card.
Finally add Kevin De Bruyne to score anytime. The former Manchester City star has easily been the main threat for Belgium going forward and if anyone is likely to score it’s him.
