Scotland’s first match back at the World Cup in 28 years ended with victory over Haiti, but it wasn’t quite as convincing as many had wanted. Steve Clarke’s side started off really well and played with plenty of aggression and positivity in the first 5-10 minutes.
Haiti then settled into the game and took control whilst looking dangerous going forward with plenty of pace on either side. Scott McTominay hit the post in the 17th minute before Che Adams' effort was saved but John McGinn turned in the rebound in the 29th minute.
There weren’t many clear cut chances but Haiti had the best of the possession for most of the game and looked the most likely to score. Frantzdy Pierrot missed a golden chance in the 85th minute when he could only place his header wide of the post and it finished 1-0 to the Scots to put them top of the group.
Morocco played out a pretty even contest against one of the favourites in Brazil. They played some excellent football and were unlucky not to score more than the one they managed but were a constant threat going forward.
Ismael Saibari, who looks set to join Bayern, was the main man up top and his quality came through with his wonderful finish for the goal in a match that, probably fairly, ended 1-1.
This game is massive, a Scotland win puts them comfortably through, a Morocco win means they should go through but would leave Scotland probably needing at least a point against Brazil.

Scotland vs Morocco Tips
Here are our top three World Cup betting tips and the best free bets ahead of this game.
Tip 1: Ismael Saibari to score or assist
The fact that Bayern Munich are signing Saibari says a lot really but he has it all for me.
Can run in behind, can link up the play or can carry it on his own, he’s incredible.
He caused Brazil all sorts of issues and scored a wonderful goal so I think he’ll do the same to Scotland.
Tip 2: Both teams 2+ cards
This will be a tense match up, especially if Morocco can’t take control and get an early goal.
Both sides have some feisty players but I think the biggest battle will be the midfield.
If Clarke plays the same team then Lewis Ferguson will definitely get under the opponents skin, especially after being fouled six times against Haiti.
Then you have the Scottish defence up against that fluid Moroccan attack, which I don’t think they will be, legally, able to control them for 90 minutes.
With this much on the line, tensions will be high!
Tip 3: Ismael Saibari to score or assist, both teams 2+ cards & over 2.5 goals
Morocco will be desperate to win and Scotland will probably be their pragmatic selves and that gives them a chance to catch Morocco on the counter attack.
A defeat is a terrible result for Scotland and Morocco will see anything other than a win as failure so I think this game will be open at times and there will be plenty of chances.
Scotland have scored in their last six competitive matches and I think they’ll continue that streak and I just can’t see Scotland being able to prevent Morocco scoring at least one.
Combining over 2.5 goals with the two additional selections creates a 10/1 Bet Builder for tonight's match, offering a solid price for those looking to back multiple angles.
