Switzerland vs Colombia Tips, Predictions & 12/1 Bet Builder
Joshua Kerr

Colombia go into their Round of 16 tie as slight favourites to beat Switzerland at BC Place in Vancouver and book a quarter-final spot, with kick-off at 9pm on Tuesday night.
Néstor Lorenzo's side have been one of the meanest teams in the tournament, conceding just once in four games and keeping three clean sheets in a row. They topped Group K without losing, then edged Ghana 1-0 in the last 32 thanks to a Jhon Arias strike.
Switzerland come in unbeaten too.
Murat Yakin's team won Group B and beat Algeria 2-0 in the Round of 32, with Breel Embolo and Dan Ndoye on the mark. They've scored in every game, but they've faced a softer run of opponents and Colombia represent a clear step up.
Here are our three football betting tips and the best free bet offers ahead of tonight's clash in Vancouver.
Switzerland vs Colombia Tips
Here are our top three World Cup betting tips and the best free bets ahead of this game.
Tip 1: Colombia to win
Colombia look the more complete side and carry the sharper cutting edge in Luis DÃaz, who has been a constant threat all tournament.
They have the best defensive record of any team left in the competition, a higher FIFA ranking than Switzerland and the edge in the head-to-head, having won the only previous World Cup meeting between the sides.
Switzerland topped a kind group and beat Algeria, but they have conceded in eight of their last ten matches, and against this Colombia attack that is a worry. It's worth noting Jhon Córdoba is out injured, but Luis Suárez slots in up front after setting up the winner against Ghana.
Tip 2: Under 2.5 goals
This has the makings of a tight, cagey knockout tie rather than a shootout.
Colombia have kept three straight clean sheets and Switzerland tend to keep things compact, with both goals they've conceded here coming in stoppage time. Two well-organised sides, plenty of caution and a lot on the line points to a low-scoring 90 minutes.
A 1-0 or 2-0 Colombia win looks the most likely outcome, and the goals markets back that up.
Tip 3: Colombia to win, under 3.5 goals, Luis Diaz 3+ shots & Gustavo Puerta to be shown a card
Our Bet Builder leans on the players most likely to shape the game.
Luis Diaz has racked up the shots throughout the tournament and is Colombia's most likely match-winner, so 3+ shots is well within reach.
Gustavo Puerta is Colombia's most-fouled and most fouling midfielder, and with strict referee Ivan Barton in the middle - already the man who made history with the tournament's first send-off under the new mouth-covering rule - a card looks like decent value.
Add Colombia to win and under 3.5 goals to match the low-scoring theme, and the four legs combine for a tempting price.
