Royal Ascot Betting Markets, Ante Post & Special Bets
It is very unlikely any Royal Ascot race will feature less than eight runners so each-way punters will be happy in the knowledge their bets will be ‘first three’ and in some cases ‘first four’ betting terms.
As the festival approaches Royal Ascot odds will become available on ‘Top Royal Ascot Trainer’, which has been won by Aidan O’Brien eight times before, ‘Top Royal Ascot Jockey’ and even ‘Top Royal Ascot Owner’.
For now you will have to make do with Royal Ascot betting odds 2018 with ante-post markets. As we know ante-post betting comes with a caveat that your stakes will be lost should your selection not run in the race you stipulated.
On the upside, if your horse does run, you are pretty sure to receive a price far better than that which will be listed in the Royal Ascot results.

Latest 2018 Royal Ascot Betting Tips
John Gosden’s stable is brimming with talent and he is the current powerhouse of UK horse racing. Cracksman and Enable are his stable stars but his classic generation (three-year-olds) and two-year-olds look a tasty bunch too.
It is very feasible John Gosden will have at least three winners so looks out for him amongst the Royal Ascot 2018 betting for ‘Leading Trainer’.
But Ireland’s leading trainer, Aidan O’Brien has battalions of top-drawer bloodstock and many of his hopes will go off favourite – it should make ‘Leading Trainer’ and captivating battle.
O’Brien trains our top Royal Ascot betting tip, Order of St George in the showpiece Gold Cup. Winner of the two-mile-four-furlong race in 2016, a lack of pace cost him dearly when trying to keep his crown in 2017 (beaten a short-head) but connections are likely to run at least one pacemaker in 2018 and he is a confident selection.

Royal Ascot Results 2017
The opening race of the 2017 Royal Ascot meeting went to the 11/10 favourite, Ribchester. It set the wheels in motion for punter to get stuck in and with other winners priced 5/2 (Barney Roy), 7/2 (Lady Aurelia) and 4/1 (Thomas Hobson), punters get the best of things.
Day 2’s pair of handicaps went to long-shots but the four Group races were Shangri-La for punters with 2/1, 9/4, 5/2 and 5/1 winners. The racing was far more competitive on Day 3 and the bookies fought back. There was no winning favourites and Order of St George was turned-over at odds-on in the Ascot Gold Cup.
Both odds-on shots Caravaggio (5/6) and Winter (4/9) both scored on Day 4 but the card was bookended by a pair of 20/1 shots and the bookmakers got the best of the battle overall.
So the closing day was vital, vital to punters and vital to the end-of-year balance sheets of major bookmakers. When September won the opening race at 11/8 there was hope all-round but with 25/1, 9/2, 40/1, 25/1 and a 10/1 winners rounding off proceedings, the old enemy came out in front at the end.
