Three of the four light-heavyweight titles are on the line inside Wembley Arena on Saturday night, as Anthony Yarde challenges the hard-hitting Russian Artur Beterbiev for his 175lb crown.
It’s the second time Yarde has challenged a Russian for a light-heavyweight world title, previously coming up short against Sergey Kovalev in 2019.
Beterbiev has been a belt-holder in this division since 2017 and has won all of his 18 fights by knockout.
Can Anthony Yarde upset the 9/2 (with bet365) odds and record one of the biggest wins by a British fighter in recent memory?

Artur Beterbiev (18-0, 18KO)
Light-heavyweight king, Artur Beterbiev, is arguably the most feared fighter on the planet.
The unforgiving Russian – fighting out of Canada – has stopped all of his previous 18 opponents from hearing the final bell and is en route to a career remaining unbeaten.
But the 38-year-old is no spring chicken and looks happy to cash out of a few big-money opportunities late in his career.
Beterbiev is tough, durable and hits with fists of concrete.
Only one fighter, Enrico Koelling, has entered the 12th round with Beterbiev, until the Russian scored two impressive knockdowns and ended the fight.
He has tasted the canvas before – notably to another Briton, Callum Johnson, in 2018 – but has never really looked like losing a fight.
Anthony Yarde (23-2, 22KO)
Anthony Yarde is once again proving he has the balls to take on the very best in the 175lb division.
Long criticized for his weak record, the “Beast from the East” has now stepped up against two feared Russians in world title opportunities, and he’ll be hopeful that this time against Beterbiev goes better than his loss to Sergey Kovalev.
Between these two fights the 31-year-old Londoner has shared wins with Lyndon Arthur and gone 4-0 against fighters a level or two below him.
Yarde has a big physique and is puncher in the division – the question is whether his gas tank can hold out for 12 championship rounds at full pace.
22 of Yarde’s 23 wins have come via stoppage so there is no doubt that the home fighter will benefit from turning this contest into an early fire fight.
Prediction / Odds
Father Time catches up with everyone in boxing and Artur Beterbiev is no exception to this rule.
At 38, the Russian hasn’t got many fights left in his tank, but we still think he will have enough to get past Anthony Yarde.
Yarde’s best bet is to be the aggressor from the opening bell and try and drown Beterbiev early. The champion has been hurt before and isn’t known for his tight defence – Yarde to score a knockdown in the fight at 7/4 with bet365 is well worth a look.
But Beterbiev has proved his powers of recovery before.
Yarde will have to work extremely hard to pin down the champion and in emptying his own tank will open the door for Beterbiev down the stretch.
A repeat of the Kovalev fight – where Yarde got stopped in the 11th round – is hard to ignore at 4/1 with bet365.
- Artur Beterbiev to win in Rounds 9-12 at 4/1 with bet365
- Anthony Yarde to score a knockdown at 7/4 with bet365
