Darts Tips: Premier League Aberdeen Week 13 Predictions & Odds

Michael van Gerwen and Luke Humphries meet in a potentially decisive clash in the race for the Premier League Darts playoffs when the roadshow heads to Aberdeen on Thursday.
Night 13 takes place at P&J Live, where Van Gerwen will look to strengthen his hold on a top-four place against an out-of-sorts Humphries.
The Dutchman began the campaign strongly, winning Night 1 in Newcastle and reaching the Night 2 final in Antwerp. Since then, however, he has made only two further nightly finals, losing to Luke Littler in Berlin and Jonny Clayton in Brighton.
Despite that inconsistency, the seven-time Premier League champion still holds a four-point cushion over Gian van Veen in fifth and sits five clear of Humphries in sixth. With only four league nights remaining, opening-round victories are beginning to carry greater weight than ever.
At the top of the standings, Luke Littler and Jonny Clayton continue to trade blows. They’ve shared weekly wins in five of the last six weeks, and have both qualified for London’s showpiece event in May.
Darts Tips: Premier Aberdeen
But who is going to join them?
Let’s take a look at three of the best darts tips for tonight's games.
Josh Rock +2.5 handicap vs Luke Littler at 5/6 with bet365
It's a case of 'break glass for emergency' for Josh Rock if he is to make a miraculous run into London's playoffs.
His form has seen an upturn since the start of spring, and he'll be taking the positives of drawing Luke Littler this week when the youngster has already qualified for the playoffs.
'Rocky' averaged 104 in defeat the last time these two squared off, but was able to drag Littler into fairly deep waters via a 6-4 scoreline.
We're expecting something similar in Aberdeen, giving Rock a 2.5 head start with the handicap.
Jonny Clayton 6-5 Gian van Veen at 11/2 with Paddy Power
Jonny Clayton has made the final in six out of 12 weeks so far in this season's Premier League, and is without doubt the surprise package of the edition.
He's in a battle for top spot with Littler over the next few weeks, and will have to keep bettering the score of the teenager if he is to continue sitting on top of the standings.
Gian van Veen has lost seven of his last 10 Premier League fixtures and it's hard to see the Dutchman rallying to a victory if Clayton is close to his best.
Michael van Gerwen to beat Luke Humphries at 6/5 with bet365
Despite enduring a patchy campaign, Michael van Gerwen is still positioned pretty well to make yet another playoff night.
The Dutchman has a negative legs difference despite sitting fourth in the league on 18 points, and will be eyeing up inflicting more pain on a stuttering Luke Humphries.
“Cool Hand” has won just seven of his nineteen matches this campaign, sits sixth in the league and is in desperate need of winning a night — for the first time this season — if he is to gatecrash the playoffs.
MVG’s form and experience should get him over the line at 6/5.
