Newcastle vs Fulham Tips, Predictions & Latest Odds

We have got some great games to look forward to this week as we have reached the quarterfinals of the EFL Cup. One of the biggest is an all Premier League clash between Newcastle and Fulham.
Newcastle vs Fulham Tips
Fulham will be travelling to St James Park in the hope of causing an upset and reaching the semi-finals. Both teams have had average league campaigns, and a win here can brighten up their season considerably.
Here are our top three betting tips and some free bet offers ahead of Wednesday night’s big cup clash.
Tip 1: Newcastle to win and both teams to score
It has been a bit of a disappointing start to the season for Newcastle in the league. They are sitting 12th in the table and are not close to the form they were producing last season.
It’s not a massive shock considering they are playing more games with the Champions League, stretching their squad. They come into this game having lost away to rivals Sunderland 1-0 and will be wanting to put things right.
You should expect to see Newcastle take this game seriously given that they are the holders and they have got tough opponents in Fulham. The London team has also had an average season in the league and sit one place below their opponents in 13th place.
Away form had been an issue for Fulham, but they have turned that around in the last few weeks with wins at Tottenham and Burnley. They only scrapped through in the last round, beating Wycombe Wanders on penalties but they will be looking for a good performance here.
Expect Newcastle to have just enough to beat Fulham but it won’t be by much.
Tip 2: Harry Wilson to score or assist
It’s hard not to back Harry Wilson given the great form that he finds himself in. The Welshman has scored five goals for Fulham this season and has had three assists as well.
He is the top scorer for the team and in their last four matches he has had three goals and three assists. Newcastle have conceded four goals in their last three home matches which shows that you can score against them.
If anyone is going to be involved in a Fulham goal, then it will be Harry Wilson.
Tip 3: Bruno Guimaraes 1+ shot on target, Joelinton to be shown a card, Harry Wilson to score or assist
Bruno Guimaraes is always a threat from the midfield and loves to have a shot. The captain of Newcastle has had 23 shots this season in the league with ten of them hitting the target. In his last three league game Guimaraes has had eight shots with six of them hitting the target.
Joelinton loves a tackle and is always moaning at the referee. The Brazilian enforcer has had six yellow cards already this season in all competitions. It would be surprising if he doesn’t get involved in a few scraps during this game as well.
Finally add Harry Wilson to score or assist. The Welsh forward has scored three and had three assists in Fulham’s last four games. He is likely to have another good game here.
